  2. Cost to replace blown Ecoboom engine?

Also be aware, Adams group is his personal echo chamber. He will remove anything remotely critical of hom and ban you from the group.
  3. Does fuel economy improve

Light acceleration and maximum coasting are your friend in city driving. Don’t be in a hurry to get to a red light.
  4. Coyote engine swap

I tried to get a quote on trading in my EB but it didn't look like I was getting the best bang out of my buck. Plus I've done so many mods to this car, I might as well gut it and make it my own. I wanted to buy an engine and tranny package from thepartsfarm.com Anyone have good experiences...
  5. MPG at 75-80 MPH?

My cluster reports 26-27MPG on my normal commute to work (4.5 miles, 1-2 stop signs, two lights, and four. Turns). Since switching to winter tires and winter gas, I’m down to about 24.5MPG. I typically start coasting well in advance of stopping and don’t accelerate too hard. On the highway...
  6. Ummm what?!? Dealer has a NEW LE???

Haven't watched Pawn Stars in years, but I think they liked to tell people that if something was made to be collectible, it probably wasn't worth anything. Might be a little different for cars, but I'd never buy a car based on potential resale value.
  7. Need Help 4cyl Delete

My Mustang came with the 4Cyl Delete option so I picked up 4 more, but I don't know how to install them. Can anybody give me any tips on how this bolts up to the other half? OK Couldn't resist. Bought a 2.3 Ecoboost last December (before I was even thinking of buying a Mustang) to swap...
  8. A comfortable cruiser

I keep saying mu mustang is the most comfortable car I've ever owned.
  9. New member plus AT vs Manual for Ecoboom

1500RPM and 6th gear isn't necessarily a problem. It's when you decide you want to accelerate quickly and you now have 20lbs of boost that you create the LSPI conditions. The owner's manual is giving recommendations for best fuel economy which also requires gentle acceleration.
  10. Oil pan

Don't know about getting it out without pulling the motor, but you will probably have to at least loosen the transmission and slide back a bit and pull a couple bolts out os the timing cover as the pan attaches to both. It is rtved in place, so getting it back together without messing up the...
  11. Funny Story, Beware!

If I were buying a car that was certified no I wouldn't be happy to learn that it had $2000 worth of body work done to it.
  12. Funny Story, Beware!

When I traded in my last car, I looked it up and found that it was listed as "CarFax certified no accidents" despite the fact that I had submitted an insurance claim on it a couple years earlier when I backed my truck into the car.
  13. Nose mask / bra

I think I'll let my front bumper get scratched naturally before I put a bra on it that will probably scratch it over time.
  14. ID'ing Valencia Built Engine

Turns out I have your twin. She's at the machine shop right now after being in an Ecoflood, not an Ecoboom. Bought the engine for a swap into a different car and fell in love with the S550.
