Not sure about the OP, but both for me. You can feel the car shutter and see the RPM drop.

Mine does this occasionally too - it actually stalled once! I have yet to figure out what causes this.

I haven't noticed any blockage! I think the speaker faces straight up and is meant to bounce the sound off of the windshield, so it doesn't seem to be an issue at all. I will, however, note that the mount doesn't clip on to the vent very well (wish it gripped stonger), when removing your phone...

I have this same problem. They replaced the headliner 3 times now. Not a fun process....
