'16 GT Performance Pack in Guard Metallic with lots of extra goodies. PM for details!
Hey everyone, just wanted to let y'all know that I have my S550 for sale: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/2016-mustang-gt-guard-metallic-perf-pack-recaros.125688/
It's a '16 GT w/Performance Pack and lots of other goodies in Guard Metallic. The car is in the suburban Detroit area...
I'm selling a set of Steeda billet rear upper shock mounts. Purchased new and used for about 18k miles. No functional issues, just some slight cosmetic blemishes here and there. Will include a fresh set of dust covers. $75 + shipping (no shipping if we can meet in the suburban Detroit/Ann...
Definitely some truth to this. Fun fact, a good deal of the track is meant to replicate features of the Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans). Corvette Racing uses the facility for testing before shipping off to France each summer.
Can confirm, this setup is quite pleasant and even performs well on track. Personally, I'd only go to coilovers if I was building a track-only car, and even then I'd only go with a stupid-expensive-yet-stupid-good set (Ohlins, RideTech, JRi, Penske).
Assuming "They" is in reference to Ford, do bear in mind that they'll gladly offer you a 7 year loan (at least here in the US). Some markets are even trialing 8 years. Loaning for longer periods is actually way more profitable for the lender in this case, and Ford in particular gets to make...
Flashing the module is probably harder than just replacing it with one from a wrecked PP car. The PP ABS calibration file isn't made readily available to the public. Yet again, might be something a dealership could help with if you ask the right person :)
Ah, apologies for my misunderstanding there. The special calibration is just different software that runs on the same ABS module (VSC and ABS all reside on one module). So mechanically speaking, you absolutely could drop a PP ABS unit into a non-PP car. The only problem would be that the rest...
Sorry I'm a little late responding here. Swapping out to a Bosch Motorsport M4 ABS unit will be rather difficult. They're pretty much meant for ground-up built race cars and won't play nicely at all with the rest of the modules in the car. Furthermore, calibrating your ABS is a really intense...
Ok, time for clarifications and corrections.
If that device plugs directly between the pedal and the PCM, then it cannot directly change shift points or shift quality. But that's not to say you won't feel a difference in how an A6 or A10 changes gears. The transmission calibration relies on...
Against my better judgement, I'll wade into this discussion...
Every modern production engine control unit (and most of the high-end motorsport controllers) runs on a torque model. What this means is that the driver's accelerator pedal position is taken as a demand for X% of maximum available...
