I believe the TPMS in our cars need rotation to detect and/or activate the sensors. So if I'm mounting the sensor internally to after market wheels via bands or other brackets, do they need to be aligned in a way where it will rotate all the same (valve stem portions pointing outward) or can...
Right on! I was gonna try to cut up some kydex as a temporary solution but yours are exactly what I would seek visually and functionally. Looking forward to your mockups.
I spent a good half hour doing trial and error with the jam nut and it would just keep spinning to the bottom for me. Its not a big deal for me, as having a second nut would give me a more precise position. Thanks for all the responses though everyone.

How is everyone aligning and tightening theirs?

I'd like to add an engraving to the side but I don't quite know what yet. I will definitely PM you with some more details, as I'm sure shipping to me will be a bit extra.
Here is how mine turned out when I used that eBay ABS honeycomb sheet. masked off the frame and sprayed the ABS with Krylon MAXX in satin black after I used plastic epoxy to "weld" it together.
No on car shots yet as I'm waiting for my car to be delivered still :brokenheart:
