Look, guys, to add clarity to my post. This is NOT about cost. It is about risk.
If there was no risk to the engine and high test only adds HP then I would put in regular gas.
If there is risk to the engine (and there seems to be consensus here) then of course I will put in high test gas!
I have run Shell 91 and I have run 87. Given all the expenses for tracking, I'm not trying to pinch pennies on gas. I just did not know if there is a risk, and according to the wonderful responses I am getting, apparently there is!
Exactly, and thank you.
I'm sure there will be some strong opinions on this, but ... Is there any good reason not to run regular gas for track day?
That's what I have been running most of the time. I don't care about a little extra HP, and fuel cost for an out-of-town track weekend really adds up. I just don't know...

The squeeze pouch makes it so easy to install.
I run 140wt even though I installed a DIY diff cooler. Track diff temp still gets up to 230F in the afternoon.

Please try removing the screw holding the eBrake cable to the knuckle. Then unbolt the caliper and hang it out of the way. This allows you to tilt the shock outboard and twist it to get the bottom 'T' to pull out and upwards from the control arm.
I don't recall if I had to remove the rotor...
