I am finally gaining ground on this, everything takes forever.
I have changed the way I make the Ranger dipsticks so I have more time to work on other stuff like the Mustang and the F150.
I realized if I want to properly devote time to the Mustang dipstick, F150 or anything else, I must bring in help on the Ranger dipsticks. So for the last few weeks, I have been working towards having one of the best hose shops around to undertake the task.
As bad as I want to move forward with...
Yeah, with as many different induction setups, I'm looking to try the rear of the cylinder head, or the corner of the cam cover area for a mounting point possibly.
Working on it!
Got my hands on a stock one today, it does not look as compacted at the back of the engine as I expected.
Access to feed a dipstick hose down to the transmission looks okay, I still need to sort out the best location to mount the top bracket.
I should be able to move forward with this stock...
Okay, by the responses, I'm going to steer towards a version that fits everything. Are there any other configurations available? I bet there are, I best go looking for aftermarket intakes and twin screw superchargers, with all the possibilities, I should retro back to the tab under the top...
By the way it has been crickets here about pulling the IMRC, the hot rod I had yesterday must not be the norm.
That thing was mid 900hp to the tires, I don't know how easy that is for the newer 5.0, but damn, that HP would be a whole lot less streetable with my pushrod 5.0, his was pretty good...
I'm trying, it was a toss up between the F150 and the Mustang, after a quick glance under the hood of a F150, I wanted to try the Mustang, the engine in the Mustang is not as far under the cowl.
But you are here, so you must have a Mustang, but you must also have the IMRC in place!
In this sub forum of V8 5.0 Engine / Mods, is it safe to say the majority of the IMRC's are removed?
I have a small business making 10R80 automatic transmission extended dipsticks, am doing research on adding another Ford model to my product line (which is only the Ranger currently)
The...
I did the post without mentioning that, but really the trans may not matter, they all have the same threads in the case for the cap, the only difference may be the fluid level.
Hey everyone,
I'm Mike of Mike's Build Shop, I'm looking for a test mule in my area to develop a automatic transmission extended dipstick.
I currently make one for the 19-23 Ranger, it is a pre-marked plug and play assy, you just install it, it is ready to read the fluid level, no dipstick...
