Yes- engine in, I just dont see how I can properly clean the surfaces and apply fresh rtv, as there is very little/no room- just looking for some tips/pointers
Hey guys- replaced oil pump gears and ready to put everything together. I dropped the oil pump an inch or 2 to remove the oil pump. So now, putting the pan back in place: do I have to remove the old rtv and apply new? If so..how? There is no room, especially at the rear- all videos I see just...
thanks everybody - looks easy enough...I just cannot find where to connect the sprayer, is it the oil pressure sensor? ie take that out and find somekind of fitting that screws in and a nipple for the hose of the sprayer?
thanks - what tool do you use to inject pressurized oil? and do I take out the oil pressure sensor and use as specific adapter for there or is there a specific port?
Iām putting in all new timing stuff and vct phasers, opg- should the parts be lubed/oiled before installation? See different opinions on soaking the chains a night etc. Thanks
Thanks guys- ended up making a 6 inch 8.8 fine metric M12 1.5 threaded rod to push off against. It screws/seats fully in the crankshaft so that gives the most comfort. Thanks for the help! Onto the next step.
Hey folks- seems my harmonic balancer is really stuck..after removal of bolt and washer I tried using a 3-claw puller with rods that go into the crank- guess what, the rods bent..luckily didnt strip threads..
the workshop manual shows to re-insert the balancer bolt, leave a few threads out and...
Does everything from that kit fit our GT350? the steel 302 tensioner for instance? When I asked Ford Performance I got the short reply: " I do not believe they will." But I don't get a warm a fuzzy feeling from these service reps...thanks!
