In my case I accidentally hit it when attempting to raise the volume or change songs unsing the steering wheel controls. Then I hit the M button and have to go to the touchscreen and get back to the input I had. It an unnecessary driver distraction.
Just curious, if you pickup the phone after answering on the Sync touchscreen, can you hear audio from the phones ear piece? Wondering if the audio/mic isn't being routed to the Sync system but staying on the phone when receiving calls.
If you are looking to update the maps then I believe you have to pay for the update.

Ummm, why? I've never read any post on why one of these helps the engine performance in a positive way. If it was such a great idea, wouldn't Ford and all manufacturer's add one at the factory to vehicles?
