I have the ARH H-pipe catback, and I think that it sounds super sweet at idle and up to around 3500-4000 rpms. After that it doesnt really get much louder. It a great dd catback.
I have the ARH and it sounds super sweet. like you, the part that I disliked the most was clamping the tips. But once you have them set and you hear that deep rumble, you will quickly forget about those clamped tips!
I think this is the best inexpensive modification that I have done on my car. There is noticeable improvement when shifting. It's just so smooth now. Highly recommend it.
The H has a short and a long side. I believe the shorter side goes on the driver side. The parts that go after the H are not identical. It would just be easier with instructions or some sort of part identification. It does not seem to be a hard install, once the parts are identified.
