  1. Best Free Music Apps (Sound Quality)

Just a thought... Can the Plexamp on iOS run as a remote for a headless Plexamp server on a Raspberry Pi? Means.... i have a Raspberry PI in my car, connected via optical output to my Mosconi DSP. With Plexamp i would have the whole library on a USB stick or disk and control it via Plexamp on...
  2. Carplay and iheart radio issue

In general.... if something works and you don't change anything on the Ford side of things (APIM or ACM update or something like that) and then something stops working, i would always assume that it must be an update on the app side of things.
  3. Accurate bass from the trunk

Considering a sub is only playing up to 80Hz most of the time i think it's a non-issue. If in doubt remove the rear speakers and let the sub breathe through the rear deck. But even if my rear speakers were originally in there i didn't have any problems with "upper" bass from my sub, which in...
  4. Audio Signal Quesion.

First thing I would do is testing if I accidentally turned the phone volume all the way down. Phone calls are going through the same signal wires as music or radio, but they have an independent volume control.
  5. Audio Signal Quesion.

That’s true. Back when the Mustang had the shaker system there wasn’t an AmpPro either as the shaker and the 9-speaker system is totally analog. Yea, the amps still have CAN bus connections, but afaik they are only used for monitoring purposes. So integrating into this analog system is easy as is.
  6. Weird audio problem - one channel much louder than other

If these are the wires that go to the trunk lid, then these are only for the trunk release and rearview camera. The white tubing should prevent snapping of the wires. Snapped wires are one of the main reasons the rearview camera goes black btw. Speaker wires are all down in the drivers footwell...
  7. Official Ford Sync3 3.4 Release

You got 12V at home? Strange, in Germany we get 240V.
  8. Shaker Pro Sub Amp Upgrade Question

Then you hopefully removed the EQ is ForScan as the rear speakers have a bass roll off.
  9. Almost time to finish build...some questions

Ask your local installer/dealer what they carry and use regularly. If possible ask if you can get a demo in one of their vehicles. Sadly, most dealers cannot really tune a DSP, but you could always ask the nation wide distributors for recommendations for good tuners as they usually know really...
  10. Shaker Pro Sub Amp Upgrade Question

If you want to use the stock subwoofer wiring as input to the new amplifier you need to measure the max voltage output of the stock subamp before hooking up the new amplifier to the stock subamp output. Max input on the Rockford amp is 11 Volts, so if the stock subamp puts out 15V you...
  11. Why do the settings on my audio equipment seem so far from normal in order to sound good to me?

You will. I’d rather step down to the next lower speaker offering and get a DSP than getting the next higher speaker series without a DSP.
  12. Why do the settings on my audio equipment seem so far from normal in order to sound good to me?

No... i'm an IT guy dealing with SAP interfaces. Look... i know from your system list that you already spent a good amount of money on your system and i don't blame you for not having the knowledge. But you said it was installed by a professional installer. Given the decent equipment that you...
  13. Why do the settings on my audio equipment seem so far from normal in order to sound good to me?

Ok, you still have not measured the response of the drivers, nor do you have a DSP to dial in after measuring. What do you expect? That the inherent problems of the room you're sitting in solve themselves magically? Just an example... This is the raw, unequalized response of a typical midbass...
