Actually both Bullitt packages (01 and 08/09) were about the same cost even though they were 7 years apart. 2001 was $3600 more than a standard GT and the 08 as shown above was only $3300 so the package actually was less on 08 cars.
If history is any indication it should be a 3-5K package...
New York International Auto Show press days are March 28th and 29th. So unless Ford does a special event separate from a major auto show it is the last opportunity until the LA show in November. They did introduce the new Explorer at a special press event in Dallas so not unheard of.
Ford spends a great deal of time insuring the cars are ready for production. This is what the VP, TT and PP cars are for. Long range road testing is one of those factors and they were caught in September 2007 in the midwest with 2 DHG and the Red Bullitt travelling.

That is what I was told at the press reveal as well. No limited production but yes they will be serialized. Plaque is located on the dash. BTW the VP indicates Validation Prototype.

Actually the main reason the 08 did not do as well was due to when they released the car. 2008 was the start of the recession and no car maker was doing well. In fact the 2001 was also released in a down market.
