Both of my S550's (2015 and 2016) stay on auto 99.9% of the time and everything works just fine...All of my cars I've ever owned that have Auto HVAC stay on auto 99.9% of the time...Knock on wood but I've never had a blend door or other actuator fail in an automatic HVAC system. Not to say it...
Are you trolling?
The S550 Mustang has physical HVAC controls, why would you have to pull over to adjust the fan or turn the AC on? You can hit the "auto" button then adjust the temperature. Or manually adjust the fan with the very simple physical button to do so.
Your radio must be broken, or...
If I actually developed it it would probably retail at ~$1500 or so.
The biggest limitation is 15-19's would need a new ACM if they want SiriusXM or radio presets to work. 19's may work actually I'm not 100% sure. 15-18 for sure would need a new one.
FYI those coming back across this I'm now selling a harness for it again: https://oemplusupgrades.com/products/s550-mustang-frameless-mirror-wiring-adapter
It would end up being very close to the picture. So it would slightly cover the gauges and while you can turn the knobs still it would just be slightly more awkward than if nothing was directly above it.
The problem is where do you put it? The screen just sits on top of the dash so there's no...
I never developed the brackets for it. Everything works except whats known Sync 4 limitations or sync 4 features that don't work with the car.
I only have had a couple people interested so I'm not sure if it's worthwhile developing a kit.
Really the main benefit is built in wireless CarPlay and android auto (if sticking with 8"), plus a snappier interface. Bigger screen is well...a bigger screen and cool interface. Sync 4 you can also see the built in navigation map while CarPlay/AA is active but thats about it. Favorite button...
I agree if it was just slightly shorter so it didn't block the vents it would be perfect. Thats why I posted here just trying to gauge if anyone would actually buy it or not. I'm sure someone would, but how many people.
I added another pic to the original post.
It won't if I actually develop a kit for it. It will slightly cover the bottom of the air vents and for shorter people it may cut off the bottom of the PP gauges if they're equipped.
I stayed up way too late last night finalizing development on the 8" Sync 4 kit for the S550 I just had this crazy idea for fun. Will the 13.2" screen fit? Well it fits, but it's a little big. Has the cool S650 boot up animation too. It would sit up slightly higher than it is now maybe 1/2" I...
Hey guys, just finished development of our Sync 4 kit for the S550's. More pics coming soon just finished development and gave it the green light for sales.
It's plug n' play, works for all year S550's and requires no extra parts or other programming (unless coming from a 4" 15-18).
Check it...
