I called ford performance and they said the dealer tech should have manually ID and used a tear tag procedure to read the PCM codes. It seems like it's a common occurrence, the techline knew exactly what they were doing wrong without me explaining much. Hopefully the dealer tech understands...
Anybody have issue with the dealer not being able to read the pcm with the tune? I have the car at the dealer for transmission work and got call that I needed to remove the tune for them to read the pcm. Has this happened to anyone else?
Just fyi for anyone looking into the MPS4S in 295/35/R19 as a rear tire it is MO1 spec’ed made for a 10” rim so in terms of tread width(contact patch) its less than the 285/35/R19 (9.8” vs 10”). I had it mounted on a 11” rim and it was quite stretched..
Edit uploaded a better picture of the stretch
I am running mrr f6180
19x10+35 295/35 (p4s technically a narrow tire made for Mercedes e63)
19x11+50 325/30 (p4s)
on a 2018 pp1 magneride stock with no rub
Your fronts i don't see a problem. Rear, i have tire poke out the fender so u may have to factor in if you are lowered, if you are you may...
Thank you for your input
What is your rim spec/offset?
And are u on magneride?
I am having trouble finding if backspacing is different on base or pp1/magneride and pp2. Only thing i have found seems to indicate that the front pp2 has a different wheel well liners but could not find the part...
Aesthetically short, honestly i am probably over thinking this too much lol. Unfortunately i already have the 295 p4s so either i use it up in the front or take a loss by selling it and go with a different brand tire. Thanks for the input
Tirerack shows middle of May for delivery in my area. But I already bought the 295 tire. It’s seems the consensus is 325 works out back.
The front it’s been difficult to determine, it seems some got it to work but it’s far and between.
I have been having difficulty finding if the front...
short story long, I had to replace my rear tires, unfortunately my original PSS 305/35/19 are difficult to get and instead went to a 295/35/19 P4S. Tires were purchased and mounted and I thought they looked a bit stretched on a 19x11 but turns out the 295/35/19 P4S is designed for a Mercedes...
Swapped them, fits better but now sits at awkward angle. Is there a catch can that is better suited for this application?
Also anyone with a A10 tried the procal clearing of the transmission parameters? My just goes to failed all the time 😞
