I got a nail at 700ish miles and took the wheel off today to have it looked at.
Man are these wheels heavy. :eyebulge:

I was just thinking how much light my Viper wheels were. Enough for me to take notice. Check out these specs

Viper Sidewinder 2
19x13 23lb

PP1
19x10 33lb

Replacing with something lighter is in itself a power mod lol

Anyone got specs for their track wheels they want to share?
Heck I may have some PP1 wheels for sale soon if i find some i like plus go square.

I had TSW Bathurst on my 15, they weighed 22.5lbs, 20x10, 19s would be lighter. I’m getting P51 wheels for my 18, 21lbs is what they are supposed to weigh. Weight wise, these 2 options are very hard to beat and both look awesome. Hit up PAUL @ PK

Thats the route I went. P51 20x10/20Ă—11. Replacing pp1 wheels plus the 25mm spacers saved 13-14lbs per corner.

My 19x10 and 19x11 are 23 and 24lbs respectively. 10lbs saved on each corner and running much wider tires to boot.

Get those boat anchors off asap.

And I know you're asking for a GT PP1 car and you don't have a GT350, just wanted to highlight the part forum members would be interested in seeing.

Also we make R161LW's just in case your Viper needs some assistance. We can improve upon the 23lbs factory wheel with a 6-lug specific version of our R101 Lightweight:

Actually that's totally 100% correct if you can believe it. One of our dealers just installed a set of R101 Lightweights on his Ferrari 488 the other day, and he said it felt like he gained 100HP. Of course that's a complete exaggeration, but the fact that he's feeling a significant difference in acceleration and deceleration isn't magic or witchcraft, it's just plain ole' removing unsprung weight and limiting rotational mass, which if done improperly can result in an easy to bend or break wheel, but luckily for you we've got 40 years in the industry to create these beauties.

Sorry for this three part post, as you can tell I have a vested interest in lightweight wheels.

Anyway, for those like myself with Mustang GT's (not GT350s'), we would want a 19x10 up front with a 19x11 right? Since it's not the same fitment as the GT350 R101 Lightweight set, we would fashion instead a set of R101's which can be made in 17-19". Here are some weight figures for the standard R101 in Mustang GT friendly sizes:

19x10 ET35 - 19.80lbs
19x11 ET50 - 20.80lbs

:eyebulge:

Those are good looking wheels! I am looking for a square setup so all 4 at 19x10 or 20x10.

I can make that happen with the R101's. For the 19" fitment the weight would be what I posted above (19x10 ET35 - 19.80lbs).

I don't make the standard R101's in 20", so we would have to fashion up a set of P101's if you wanted that (at this point though, we have other wheels similar in weight at a lesser price point that you may be interested in). Here's a couple other styles, RC100 and RC103 which are in the lightweight category but these are friendlier on the wallet:

RC100:

RC103:

The Series RC1 motorsport wheels are perfect for those seeking strong, lightweight track wheels that can take a beating.

The I-beam spoke geometry shows the true nature of these wheels: strong and efficient. While these wheels are designed to be abused on the track, they are still light enough to markedly increase performance and handling. For street or track, these are meant to perform.

The above RC100 and RC103 wheels I can make in 19" and 20" as well. Here are some weight figures:

19x10 ET32 - 22.20lbs
20x10 ET35 - 23.00lbs

RC100 and RC103 are very similar in weight so that should be similar enough to cover both styles.

Tough world we are living in when $1300 per wheel is considered friendlier on the wallet.

RC100 and RC103 I can make in 17"-20" diameters with lots of width options and offset options (which cover every fitment possibility for the Mustang and GT350).

When it's a premium product, don't be surprised if that's the case. You gotta pay to play if you want a high quality option.

you can get forgestar CF5V's in 19x10 square that will be in the same weight range for about 1400 a set through forum vendors such as Paul. no need to spend 15-20% of the car's purchase price to get high quality wheels when there are multiple companies producing high quality wheels in the 14-1800 per set price range in similar weight ranges.
