I don't suppose those that have their cars could let me know if their door mirrors both fold in the same? My drivers mirror only folds 'half way' compared to the other one. Just wanted to know if this was a design issue or just my car.

I've never even looked at the other side to be honest, will have to do that in a bit. All I noticed is the drivers side making a cursory attempt to fold in and thinking to myself, whats the point in that exactly?

Sounds like mine - just swivels slightly. The passenger side folds right to the window though.

On mine, the mirrors fold in the same amount on both sides. If they are not, I'd suggest to have it looked at.

Both mine fold in, but I'm not sure as they only move a bit.

And if they both don't fold, try a resync.

Happy that you all are solving these before mine arrives!

It's hard to see because he doesn't show a shot straight down the side of the car, but going on the measurements it reduces the width by the best part of about 4"; that could be the difference between it living in the garage or spending it's life out in the open.

I did get my Mustang in the garage and it was very tight between the door posts so I did have to fold in the mirrors. Once in the garage there was enough space and I could open the door and get out of the car.

Reversing the car out of the garage was much harder with having to use the mirrors to reverse and then folding in just before the door with the body work getting awfully close (it was a man and wife job) and the hardest part is when the mirrors are through and you can't see if the front wheel arches are about to rub. I won't be trying that again.

Does anyone have a view what the minimum mm of body clearance could be reasonable to get a car though a garage door opening (both in and out)?

Any vids/photos of a fully folded mirror?
Popped into a dealer the other day an their display car had the same issue. Finally got around to taking some picture.
