Has anyone applied the 3M vinyl wrap to their brake calipers? And if so, do they hold up to the heat generated by the brakes? Any good install videos?

Good thing is if I want to change it, I can just peel it off and use another color, or bring it back to original finish, try that with paint.

Have you tracked your car with it, or pushed your brakes to the point you start experiencing fade?

From having some experience with vinyl that looks like it would be a royal PITA to get right and make stick... Tons of primer then when you take it off a gallon of goof off to remove all the glue it left behind.

I have not tracked it. But have got brake fade on Angeles Crest which is a mountain road here in Cali which I drive every few weeks and have not had any issue.

I have taken it off before and was not too bad, I used alcohol and break cleaner and everything was nice I and clean, I did not use primer, its not needed as this stuff sticks good by itself. Putting it on is a bit of a challenge, can't do it in just one piece, had to break it up in sections, but you don't notice seams that much and from short distance it's not noticeable at all, anyway that's my experience with it, you could always buy a sample and try it out see how you like it, and if not you can always use paint.

Oh I don't do it unless I can get it in one piece. I'm anal about that kind of stuff. Just like when I wrapped hoods I always went over and trimmed at the weld seem to make it look better. It takes more time but the outcome is night and day. I wrapped a set of drag wheels in CF Vinyl once all one piece. Talk about long and tedious work :frusty: The fronts weren't bad but the lip on the rears made it a complete pain...

Dan, is that the reflective caliper vinyl? I just ordered a few different 3m reflective caliper vinyl sample colors from metrostyling to see which one I finally want to go with but currently I'm leaning towards red or blue on my black eb. I'm also considering green but we will see. How hard was it to wrap them? I seen some youtube how to and I thinj I can def do it with a heat gun and patience.

Yes got it from metro, it took a little bit of work the first time, but once I got hang of it I was able to apply it pretty well, but I did have to seam it in certain places, the bolts where tricky, but I heated them and used a fresh blade to slowly cut around them, I have the pp brakes so they are a bit more difficult.
When I bought my vynil I made sure to buy extra just in case.
