I was thinking about getting Longtube Headers a bit early, and was looking for something on the cheaper side. Question is this, I saw on Beefcakes site that they have the Stainless Works LT without leads for $595. I have the Lethal H pipe bottleneck eliminators. Would I be able to connect those straight to the headers to save a few hundred bucks?

No you need the lead pipes I thought of that.

Edit: Nevermind. I posted without actually reading the post. The h-pipe 2.5" and I think the end of the collectors is 3". You'll have to get a small piece of pipe That necks down to 2.5" to fit the h-pipe. I would say it will work

OP, since you have the bottle neck eliminator resonator delete, you will not only need the matching lead pipes for whatever brand header you choose, but you may also need to modify those lead pipes if they have the stock 2-1/4" outlet for OEM connect. The bottle neck eliminator gets rid of that 2-1/4" section, hence it's name, so it won't connect to a lead pipe with the OEM sized connection. Unless the lead pipe is available with the 2-1/2" outlet, it will not be a bolt on affair. Your other option is just to purchase our regular resonator delete which does have the OEM connection and that will bolt to any long tube header kit that will connect to the OEM resonator.

Hope that clears some things up, let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks.

So basically because I'm on stock exhaust it's going to bottleneck regardless? In that case would I even gain any benefits without also going with a 3 inch aftermarket exhaust?

On a basically stock car, you won't see much difference at all between the stock "bottle neck" or a full 3" system. If you had a blower on the car, then I'd recommend going with a full 3" system for sure. When you really start moving air, with a power adder or RPM, the bigger exhaust will really help.

Let us know if you have any other questions about exhaust.

So basically from a performance standpoint it's useless for new to get headers?
no, headers are great, what i mean is if your worried about the factory connection point, n/a , shouldn't make a difference.

and down the road if you go power adder, it's as simple as adding in a little 3" section of pipe to take away the neckdown

We now have factory connect pipes avail from ARH, same 5.0 ARHeaders, NEW factory connect pipes.
This would be the way to go, OP!!! Give us a call about the ARH headers if you have any questions.

Sounds sweet. Going to think about it for a bit, my fiance just got bad news about her work so I have to keep my finances low for a little. Thanks all.
