UPR Catch-can has just arrived, luckily right on time as I'm going in for my free 2500KM checkup and will ask to have it installed for me!
Make me laugh thinking to ask my dealer to install a catch can

Might look confused indeed, for all means I will bring my tablet and preload the UPR installation video on it

So, the question is: Ford Racing or Roush ?
Very happy with the FR Borla touring axleback. The Sports version or Roush will be nastier soundwise but the touring suffice to make the 4 cyl coffee machine sound go away, having head turns and keep my neighbours kind off satisfied when coming home at night or leaving early...:headbang:

Close to 2500km and it's time to implement the Mishimoto catch can, intercooler, Hipo air filter and some kind of tune....

What do you think about MBRP? I really like Race version, thinking about it now. The problem is, those videos are confusing about real volume of exhausts. Magnaflow Competition is probably too loud vs Street Series, but what about MBRP? And what does it mean loud? One can't decide based on those YouTube vids. I don't want something overly loud but I definitely want something more aggressive than a stock eco exhaust.

So many choices!

When I left the car at the shop for the exhaust, I accidentally asked the guy "and it's 3 inches right?". He said "nooo, 2.6". I was baffled, why 2.6 when I want performance?
He said that a lot of customers want noise but also not so much noise to annoy them on the highways or with their kids. The kids part I understand, but the cruising on the highway part is BULLSHIT!
I drove 4 hours on an European road(no highways) and the only time I heard the exhaust was when I accelerated. IF you stop accelerating, like putting the cruise control on, you don't hear the engine or the exhaust.
I also don't hear it if I'm shifting like a regular person, not at 5-6k.

So my opinion is that you should get a thicker exhaust, properly made ofc and you should have fun with it.
I also made a recording when I start the car, I'll make one from outside also.
Youtube uploading?

Yea too much hassle to upload on youtube. I recorded smth and now I have to convert into video bleh. I'll video it so it's easier.

I've yet to hear any exhaust on an EB that I remotely like.

That depends on personal preference ofc.
I'll take your challenge though and make a video with taking off and passing by.
To me it has a growl, not that 1.4 l straight pipe noise.
Ofc a V8 with turboback would sound criminal, but that might cause problems, mainly because I don't own a V8 and the police stopped an S5(4.2 V8) with STOCK exhaust because it was too loud and they fined him.

I don't have problem with louder exhaust at all, I just don't wanna sound like those kids with old Passats or Civics with 150hp and exhaust like a space shuttle launch. I wanna something decent, deeper and cool.

That's why I'm not sure if Magnaflow Competition or MBRP Race are not too loud. You can't decide based on YouTube videos. Those two are my favourites because they have a deep tone.

Quick update: I didn't bothered to ask the dealer or the reception to install the can but asked the tech who performed my checkup instead.
He installed it in about 30 minutes. He had some difficulties to unplug the manifold connectors but eventually worked out well.

john did you install the boards??
bake open your headlights??

I will try to bake open it, it's the only chance to get the Boards in the Lights, if it not works then I will research a professional work.

Yes, I want it like the US version. I simply need to find a wire that have power when lock\unlock who I can plug my DRL Boards.

Yes I follow with a BIG attention the lights thread and I'm waiting for some pics and videos for caniggia

I tried to open the lights last week but I've not succeeded.
The glue is really strong and hard to remove.

I was able to unglue one side and put my fingers in the light but I stopped there because I was scared to totally break the lights. The other side didn't want to get unglue.

We REALLY need professional help to open the lights.

I was just going too purchase 2 RHD headlights from lighting firm, with all mods in place.
But they take forever to reply to mails, and I even phoned them up yesterday, spoke to a women told her what I want,
She said she would email me last night lmao, Guess what nothing .
So goning to do them myself and save a bundle of money.

I think I will buy next year a complete Lighting set from Caniggia and send him my DRL Led boards. I found the lights by American Muscle but it's really to expensive IMO !

And good luck mate, you'll see, it's really not so easy to open the lights.

I would have continued baking them for a little longer to soften the glue up on the other side as it clearly was starting to work and you have committed already by un-sticking one side anyway.....good luck mate
