I installed my MBRP by myself. If anyone needs help, I can offer to help. Got a ramp and tools. Also a 4 car driveway lol. I'll be selling my MBRP soon since I'm looking to purchase Corsa. If anyone wants my old setup here let me know.

Hey sorry, was super busy with work. Yeah feel free to pm me and let me know what you need.

The guy I dealt with is John Jack Frost. He's a very cool guy and he doesn't want to sell a mustang to you, he wants to sell you what you were dreaming of or want out of a mustang as an enthusiast. He had many mustangs based on what he said and knows a lot of technical aspect about the car. Even if you don't want to buy, just drop by and meet him for car talk. He's old and cranky at times lol.

Yeah everything came to 32500 minus tags and plates. That was like $260 or something. I bargained with him by saying that's all I'm willing to pay and its a base car so i didn't want to waste energy or time since they were closing. He said hand me your CC for a 500 down and let me see what I can do. Then 15 mins later he came back and said sign and pick up your car tomorrow.
Best part was, the receipt had in bold letters NO FRONT PLATE bracket. I was like how did you know? He said no true enthusiast wants front plates and that alone made me feel so cool that he knew before me saying anything.

I didn't trade anything in, I told them I'll give them $5000 cash as down payment and financed the rest through ford's 0% credit. So I financed 27500 thru ford credit. Also keep in mind I went there during Labor Day sale and chose a color that no one else wanted. He said it wasn't a popular color like CO or black.
Thanks for the feedback

I wanted a front bracket though because I don't want tickets, especially since I DD my car.

You drive around with no front plate?

i was debating about not having my front bracket put on as well, but knowing that we are in NY, and my plans for putting exhaust and tint on it, i didn't want any further issues with police, since it's my daily driver.

the mounting solutions that are put on with double sided tape and drilling a hole from underneath didn't appeal to me.

I have sto n sho. It mounts right to the factory bolts' hole and the 1 screw you need to make a hole for doesn't require drilling. I literally just screwed it in and it's super secured. Took all of 3 minutes lol. I always have my front plate on when driving in NYC. It clips onto the bracket and is very sturdy. I highly recommend sto n sho

Look how clean it looks.

I have a Sto n Sho on mine as well, but by now I have destroyed the bottom my license plate since it makes the plate hang almost an inch under the splitter. I can't even consider lowering the car.

Hmm, that's a problem for me as I always lower my car.

Its not even that, theres an offramp by my house that turns from a downward slope into a slight raise, which I cant possibly take slower then 30. Without fail I hit it once a week. No possible way of taking it sideways while I have 5 people on my ass..

WOW, that's crazy. I feel your pain though. Whatever you do, don't do that god awful side license plate mount maneuver that most JDM owners are obsessed with lol.

Btw, can you post a pic of that GT350 steering wheel? Where'd you get it from and how difficult is the install?

Hey guys, just wanted everyone know about a service experience.

I finally got the heat shield recall for my Ecoboost completed. When I got the letter from Ford in July, I contacted The dealership I bought the car, Hasset in Wantagh NY. Spoke with Julie. Said she would find out about the parts and she would call me back when she found out how long it would take to order the parts.

Crickets.

Life is busy. About three weeks later I was actually driving past the dealership, so I stopped in and asked about the parts since I had not heard back. Julie was rude to say the least, and then said she would now order the parts and call me when they came in.

Crickets.

Three weeks go by, so I stop at Newins Ford in Bay Shore. They take my info and said they will order the parts and call me when the parts come in to schedule. Two weeks later, Newins called and scheduled for the following week. Brought car in at 7:30 and had it back that afternoon. Kudos to Newins. They were organized and did what they said they would do. Besides that, they were pleasant.

I have still not heard a peep from Hasset, almost three months after my initial contact with the dealership where the car was purchased.

I am not saying the service department at Hasset is bad, but some of their customer service skills need to be addressed

Wow, you are too nice. That is completely unacceptable. I'd be pissed. I wonder of little miss thing (Julie) is part of the newer self entitled low-manner generation. Not that they are all like that, but damn...I see so much of it...
