Congrats ... surprised you didn't get a PP ... unless you're like myself that will custom mod it.
I'm confused about that. I know that the Ford site shows me all the information between the base GT and the GTPP but I'd like to hear it directly from someone instead. What are all of the differences between the base GT and GTPP?

I plan on getting an S550 in December/January but I'm torn between the two options because I personally know I'll be modifying it quite a lot. I'd like wider wheels and tires for example. Springs, braces, bushings, toe links, sway bars and all the typical bolt ons like intake, headers, and exhaust. Obviously, these swaps will not happen overnight but they are planned to be done as soon as I can. It'd be my daily here in LA where it's more of a parking lot than an open road and the only times the car would be driven a little harder than usual would be in the canyons. I guess really I'd like to build my car to be more of a show car than a race car but a show car with a little performance oomph to it. Do you suggest I pay the additional $2k and just get the GTPP?

The brembo are nice indeed but way overkill for most drivers. Unless you are doing some serious track time the stock GT brakes with good pads are just fine

Congrats on the trade man.

I've been sort of thinking about a swap too, but I'll most likely just ride it out since I feel that I'm a little deep in the mods and don't want to take a huge loss. I find myself using the paddle shifters + sports mode almost every time I drive now, and now I've been wishing I had gotten a manual like I initially wanted. Just was new to manuals and there weren't many manual GT verts around the area (and never dealt with shipping, etc.).

Being a full bolt on EB i know the feeling of losing out on some money. For me all those things I lost money on from my purchases were justified as I got a more powerful motor in its place and the sound i really wanted out of a mustang. I hated the GT in auto, even posted on here on why i wouldn't buy a GT....once I got more seat time in the MT GT I was sold

So now you're not in the club if your GT is an auto? This forum never ceases to amaze me.
