Picked up my car today from Hallmark - they brought a silver one over from Chilliwack. Car was in fine shape - gaps are pretty good and rear window was aligned correctly. It had 400km on the odometer - it was at their dealership for over a month so I guess it got test driven more than a few times. Such is the life of buying off the lot instead of ordering. I was going to order a '16 but the interest rate is 4.39% versus 1.49% for a 2015. I wanted Sync 3, but not at the cost of about $2K more in interest! Plus I get my new ride for the rest of this summer instead of waiting until the fall. Rich Employee Pricing discount allowed me to move from my originally planned EB to the GT.

The only minor thing is that there was two minor rock chips on the front of the hood - have to look pretty hard to find them. Probably from being driven on the Number 1 out that way. I opted not to have a respray done of the hood. They've offered to give me my first service on the house which I accepted and I am satisfied. My car has the 50th anniversary trim package.

I am surprised how quiet the interior is (exhaust rumble aside). Much quieter than my Focus ST was. Pretty comfortable drive I must say. Sport mode is awesome with the rev matching on downshifts. It's going to take me a little time to have all switchwork intuitive but that will come in time as I familiarize myself with the car. I couldn't be happier - hoping the rain stays away tomorrow so I can go for a nice long couple or three hour drive.

And that black PP is still in the showroom at Hallmark.

the same thing happened with my 2011. i bought it from ken evans ford (now flagship ford) on the island, but the car came from another dealer in the fraser valley with almost 400kms on it and was unsold for nearly a year. they had swapped it for a f150. the rear 1/4 panel had been resprayed by ford after it was damaged during shipping from michigan.

i sat in the black one at key west the other week after picking up some 5w20. still haven't gone to see the one at hallmark despite the fact it's 10 minutes from work... i'm afraid i might like it too much and trade in.

My sales person was Greg. He is the fleet manager there - I have bought three vehicles from him now and he is excellent. He isn't on commission so no pressure.

I went for a drive today out to Harrison and ran into a bit of rain. Was hoping to stop for pictures somewhere but it didn't happen. All I have is a crappy cell phone pic I took at the dealership when I picked it up.

I just returned from Packwood National AutoX event and all I can say is WOW the new Mustang really represented itself well at the meet. I'd love to see more of you guys come out to our local events and we have a big one coming up Aug long weekend with some great prizes. Just log into VCMC.ca and get signed up. Even if you don't win we have a lot of fun pushing these cars like they are meant to be driven and you'll be a better driver knowing where the limits of you car is.

AND, you get the opportunity to beat up my Camaro so how can you say No? :shrug: :first:

I've never had formal driving instruction but would perhaps consider it. Any idea how muchVelocity I would be approximately and where it is held? I am in Pitt Meadows and there is some driving events here near the airport - usually new vehicle introductions.

While I can drive a decent line on a PC simulation, in real life, I have had limited opportunity (I won our company's indoor go-cart driving event though, LMAO!).

It just so happens that Velocity is having another session on August 29th so check them out at VCMC.ca and get signed up. We do race at the Pit Meadows airport and we will be hosting a two day event on the Aug. long weekend and I will definitely be there. Come on over and say Hi and will be more than happy to take you for a ride around the course in my ZL1. Just no making jokes about not being able to see where we are going because it only maters that I can see where we are going. LOL

That goes for any of you guys who want to come check it out. Just shoot me a PM when you are coming and look for the bright Crystal Red ZL1 and I'd be more then happy to show you around and get you a ride. I honestly don't give a crap what anyone drives I'm just glad to see these cars driven like they were built to be driven whether its a Mustang, Camaro or WRX or the family truckster just come out and have some fun and do some racing. It's addicting and you'll Love it.
