Hey, all.

Way back in post #82 of this thread, I shared my dealer asking for an ADM of $33.5k.

Well, shockingly enough, today I got a call and was to the deal had 'gone sideways' and offering me my original spot back at an ADM of $7.5k.

Sounds like the market is changing rapidly in light of the 5 year production announcement.
REALLY?...1 dealer changes his ADM, and you say "sounds like the market is changing rapidly"? REALLY? 1 dealer  right:thumbsup: The MARKET's changing from 1 dealer? thats as funny as your next quote 5 year production announcement.. do you just make this stuff up to post?

It depends on what the discipline of that car will be. If it's the next straight line beast ala '13-'14 GT500's then the resale of the GT350 will be strong. If it does EVERYTHING better than the GT350 then the GT350's will tank in value like the '11-'12 GT500's.
Randy, unless Ford does something very radical with the 2017 GT500 it will be a terrific straight line car but will not come compete with the GT350 cars.

Whether it was the first generation or the latest generation GT500 cars these were not great handling cars. I have owned 3 new generation GT500 cars and they don't hold a candle to the new generation 302 cars from an overall package of braking, steering, handling and acceleration.

There always has been too much weight on the front end of these supercharged cars and unfortunately these cars also need to go on a big weight loss program. Poor tires and brakes are also a problem if this car is tracked.

I have spoken to many senior Ford personnel over the last few years about what car they prefer to drive when it comes to the Boss 302 versus the GT500 and not one of them selected the GT500 and I certainly have to agree with them.

I am sure that Ford will work on these issues but I have a hard time imagining the new GT500 staying with a GT350 or GT350R on a road course. 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times obviously would go to the GT500.

I see you have changed your story line now.
Not one bit my friend. Others here along with me have been trying to tell you this throughout the entire thread. It is painfully obvious that for some reason you don't want to hear it. That's OK man, Enjoy the Holiday!

You don’t want to know
Sorry, but the stories reported on this forum represent, at most and if they're all true, 2% of total GT350 volume. That makes the accuracy of any "analysis" (rather than opinion) of the entire marketplace suspect IMHO. If some of you guys actually read the garbage you were posting before hitting the Submit button, you wouldn't believe it either.

Again I have to respectfully disagree with you.

What do you think a low mileage 2013 Boss 302 Pilot Production car should go for these days?

Sticker, since you did not respond to my question here is a quick summary on the Boss 302 Pilot Production cars with respect to production volume and value.

2012 - 12 built with only 5 released to the public. PP0001 to PP0005.

BTW, PP0003 was the only 2012 PP Boss that was built to Canadian specs and just over a year ago this car was bid to $145,000 Canadian at a Toronto auction but did not sell. Add in the buyers fee and pretty much $160,000. This is all public record and can be found on the internet.

Also PP0005 was sold in the last couple of years and at last count the bidding on eBay was between $60k and $70K after which time it supposedly sold off line.

2013 - 14 (non Boss LS cars) built with only 7 released to the public.
PP 0001 to PP 0014. There were also 8 LS PP cars built for 2013. PP 001 to PP 008. The build sequence numbers are unique to each year as you can see.

Because I had to make room for the GT350 that I recently ordered I decided to sell my 2013 Boss 302 Pilot Production car last month.

This car was sold to the first person that viewed my car and I can tell you that the selling price is probably more than you would expect based on your recent comments?

;)

Didn't mean to start a furor about the '5 years in production' thing. Thought that was common knowledge now.

The Autoweek article mentioned it when talking about the limited production run of the 2015 VINs, it said production would switch to a normal 'demand based' model in 2016 and continue for the 5 years of the run.

It was also mentioned in the GT350 video briefing that I watched on this site.

As for the call from my dealer, we are declining his kind offer of $7.5K ADM.

Excellent! Both the info about demand based production and declining the ADM from the douche bag dealer.

Thanks for tracking that one down.

Here is the article that mentions the shift to 'demand production'.

http://autoweek.com/article/car-news/2015-shelby-gt350-production-137-total

Exactly! "Demand based production", just as it was with The GT500s, Terminators, Mach1s, etc. The majority of us who have been involved and interested in this stuff know. In other words Ford will continue to build as many of these Special Edition, SVT, Shelby badged Mustangs as the willing and able public will buy. Very simple, totally expected, but oh sooooooooooo difficult for a few here to process and understand.

Don't know the actual forecast production run but let's be honest about what your quoted articles say. 1) A Ford dealer's "leaked" info on mustang6g says there will be a 5 year production run, not Ford itself. 2) Jake Lingeman says that "Ford" says that demand based production will start in 2016, not a 5 year demand based production. OK by me either way cause I'm not paying ADM and I don't care if I have an exclusive car, just one fun to drive. But if someone is debating whether or not to pay ADM, still a tough choice.

"Demand based production" is not difficult to contemplate and quite well demonstrated in the recent past. This is not a brain bender unless you are in some denial thinking that as an early adopter you will be acquiring some rare, collectable instant classic.

To be fair, the 2015 VINs are 'instant classics'.

I was only relating this as it relates to my own experience trying to acquire a 2016 350R.

Quite honestly, all you really need to know is that there will be enough Mustangs of any type, trim level, or price to go around as is ALWAYS the case. Unlikely that this GT350 will run for 5 years as it will be a very, very, tough sell in the presence of the next GT500 that is certain to be the block buster Mustang of all time.

Damn son... You are a brain bender. Pick a story and stick to it.
