Hi guys:) I installed the mmr cold air intake on my ecoboost mustang. Once I turned it on the check engine light is one. Now I I know my car might be one of the recalls so I think that's why its on . but the problem is that I went for test drive but the boost only goes up to only ten pounds of boost:/ please help

Make sure the sensor has fully been seated and pluged in.

Check your intercooler pipes and the hard vacuum line that attaches adjacent to the BPV. I'd bet it one of those.

The sensor just measures air temp and shouldn't cause it not to boost like that. It sounds like you have a boost/vacuum leak.

Double check everything you touched. Try taking it all apart and reassemble. Maybe you will find the issue.

You can check your piping from to and from the turbo. They can be a headache as they regularly come off...even from the factory. You also want to make sure that the intake does not require a tune along with it. I am like 80% sure that it doesn't but no harm in checking. If you do wind up needing a tune we will gladly help you out!

I installed my mmr yesterday. no error codes, and it sounds great. but it seems to have lost power... especially in the low end. any ideas why?????

No tune...the car is correcting for the variation in air/fuel. The only way to modify a newer vehicle is to tune it along with the mods that you plan on making. If not, the ECU will compensate the other parameters to make it all balance out to what it "knows" is correct parameter wise.

So would I need a custom tune because of the mod (cai)? Or would a off the shelf work?
