production schedule for the 2016 Mustang was just posted per the following:
7/31/15 -15MY Job Last Date
5/11/15 -16MY Order Bank Open Date
6/11/15 -16MY Scheduling Begins
8/03/15 -16MY Job #1 Date

So if 2016 Mustang "Order Blank Open Date" is 5/11 will Ford start taking orders for the GT350 around the same time?? If so would not make much sense to call it a 2015.

I think it's to the manufacturer's advantage to sell cars as the next year model when they have a reasonable excuse to do so. It makes the cars seem more new when they are sitting on dealers' lots, etc.

I heard job #1 for GT350 might be significantly earlier than the date you are showing for the 2016 Mustang. I'm hoping order banks open very soon!

Maybe they'll do 300 2015 GT350's and 50 2015 GT350R's

Given that there are many, many S550's on the lot now it may make sense that the GT350 be produced earlier then the batch of 2016 lower models.

I've heard a small limited run of 2015 GT350s a few times...might be some truth to it
so if a limited run of 2015s does happen and assuming Ford starts taking orders in May for the standard 2016 Mustang who would want a 2015?? So lets say I can order a 2015 GT350 within the next few weeks and then 4 weeks later I can order a 2016. Does that make any sense?? I know its all speculation but sounds a little crazy to me. :frusty:

Let it be true. Get the high roller ADM payers out of the way to make room for the enthusiasts.

There is no way this GT350 is going to come out in the middle or latter part of this year as a 2015 IT ain't happening !...Everyone would just wait a few more weeks/month, and get a 2016, the resale would get crushed...No way this would happen. I can see this GT350 coming out maybe in the last quarter of this year as a 2016, ordering opening late summer. ( I wish and hope sooner)

And by the way...The dealer told me that they were guaranteed 1, 2016 and 1, 2017 per the application they filled out, Not a 2015, and when I asked about a 4-5 year run on the GT 350 he said all he hear was 2 years, So I do not know where this 4-5 year rumor came from.

I wouldn't wait!! Why wouldn't you buy now and get the 2015?

Hey - that would be great if everyone else waits and they sit on the lot, I'll get mine cheap!

... not gonna happen. There's too much demand for this car.

For me...I do not want a 2015 eight months into the year 2015 !!!! But that's just me...I buy at least one new car every year and I got my 2015 Jeep in Sept. 2014 so I can enjoy it being new ALL year. I know this sounds crazy but that what make the world go round, "different strokes for different folks" But this is all a mute point, there is going to no 2015 GT350, it maybe delivered in 2015 (Im hoping) but it will be a 2016 title...I am a willing to wager !!..lol
