I just spoke with my dealer again. although I have nothing to tell you all the will be helpful, I will tell you that he contacted his guy in Dearborn, and they CAN"T find my car. NO one knows where it is. My dealer said they can't locate mine, or another one they have on order.
Well isn't that Special???? I have to wait till Monday afternoon to call dealer back to see what they found out........

P.S. As I have been writing this, I just got a PM from Rachel. My car is still in Flat Rock. part of a hold on 4,000 cars. The folks at the plant are very "tight lipped" about what the problem was. She said some are starting to ship out though. I know this is info we have already heard, but I thought I would pass it along anyway......

Every time I read this thread I get more and more upset.

Where's Ford with our answers?

How is this anything short of negligence on Ford's part?

We've all put a deposit down, some more than others...yet, we're left without answers as to when, where, what, why, and who.

Day after day we're checking these boards PRAYING for an answer and we just get the same ol' regurgitated answer.

People who have placed their orders AFTER us are receiving their vehicles.

I placed my order late December...it is now close to March and my vehicle is not even in fucking transit.

So Ford, what's the hold up? Because I'm about an inch away from cancelling my order, and I say this not as a threat but as a now impatient, disappointed and frustrated Ford fan and customer.

You've taken my deposit and I have SHIT to show for it. I have what might as well be ZERO answers as to why my car is at this point some form of a mythical entity. The kind that you only hear about when every1 is spaced out on shrooms around a campfire.

My original EDD was 2/24. Some days ago, that date disappeared on COTUS. My car is still on COTUS...built on 2/5, but, no other movement on the sight.

Rachael wrote this morning and said she can't even check on my car without an EDD. Really??? :frusty:

And again...COTUS is just not the most trustworthy piece of info. It's new this year...not updated often enough...and just not overall reliable. Maybe it would have been best not to have it for us to "worry over" until they have it perfected.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, ColoradoGT, but what I told you this morning was that without an updated EDD, I'm unable to share a time frame for shipping and delivery. I'm able to check on your Mustang any time; I'm just not able to provide an estimated delivery date until it's updated.

COTUS has not been officially released to the public and as you know, is still under development.

My delivery date was today lol .. and according to COTUS I'm still "awaiting shipment" Rachel at Ford said my cars already been built ( completed on 2-9 if memory serves) - but now the Date has disappeared and there's only the VIN on the COTUS site.

I have a PM into Rachel ....

My special order still is "Awaiting Shipment" The one I purchased showed In Transit but then disappeared from COTUS all together this morning.

Once the sales paperwork is put into the system, your purchased Mustang should not be visible in COTUS, LHousePhoto.

Also, your ordered Mustang was one of the ones released this week; it's now officially "Awaiting Shipment." :headbonk:

Rachel: I find it mystifying that you as a member of Ford Service and a primary spokesperson to a multitude of Mustang 'owners' cannot get much more information out of Ford than the poorly operating COTUS!
Some Forum members have suggested that it might have been better that COTUS had not been made available to the public. But at least a little bit of information is better than a blanket statement that would say "yes, we have your order, but we aren't going to tell you anything about when your Mustang might arrive". Without COTUS (and you) I would have been preparing to cancel my order next week.

I talked to my dealer today. He couldn't give me any more information other than what we already know. He did say that once it ships it will still be 2-3 weeks before it will arrive at the dealership. I've made up my mind that if it hasn't shipped out by the end of Monday I'm just going to find another one. It sucks that I ordered it in the middle of December and its looking almost guaranteed it will have taken 3 full months to get it to the dealership.

Mine was in production 2/9-2/10 has been "in transit" since 2/10. I only live 15 miles from the Flat Rock plant. I ordered a convertible, so I thought maybe that's why I was being held back a little longer. My EDD was actually 2/21. I no longer have an estimated delivery date- I am now "expired". When I spoke to my dealer about it, he contacted his rep and they stated that there was a "Plant Campaign Hold", and that my Mustang was a part of that hold. They gave me no timetable of when the hold would be over.
