I can see 3D printing, but I came from a metal fab background. And have a fondness to seeing raw metals turn into really neat parts. I have six motorcycles that I make parts for. I am 74 now so the learning curve on 3D printing, with something I didn't learn earlier in life might just have to be something I pay others for. I had to modify an oil filler tube on my Mustang I used the lathe and mill to get it done. Top part of the tube is 2018 fitment and the threads to engine are 2015 and I wouldn't have any idea where to start with a 3D printer. See picture.

I would absolutely have an old Bridgeport and a lathe if my garage had space and if I had money the wife was going to let me burn lol.

(I used a friend’s lathe for that)

4 hour each way road trip to pick up a set of 4 Mach 1 alloys and tyres.

Major GF points scored as she did all the driving and we played alloy "jenga" trying to get a full set of big wide alloys on her back seats and boot (trunk) 🤣

Will post pics once on. But really pleased with how they look.

Owner had replaced his with the Mach 1 "bird nest" 20" alloys.... a rare sight for these in the UK.
New wheels are on
Collage of before and after and just another pic.

Brings back a few memories….Im a retired machinist that ran manual lathes/bridgeports for years …I like the lathe hiding in the corner.
