I stay at home when I’m sick. It’s just my roomie gets sick then we get sick, we get sick then roomie gets sick. Rinse repeat.

I won’t vax. But I’m not stopping someone else from doing so? I believe if you are worried get it. Me, I’d rather keep getting it over and over til I don’t get it anymore w immunity tbh. I only took stuff in army cuz made me.

i never get any shots since I got out. I won’t even do blood work, I won’t donate blood or plasma. I don’t want anything to do with doctors tbh. Other than wreck stuff. It’s a choice and right. If you’re concerned then vax. Can’t express this enough

nope no docs here. Hell my family is cancer ridden and I won’t even get checked. No point. I already said I’m not going through what my dad did.Treatment was awful for him.

like I mentioned earlier. My brothers mom got vax’d and died 2 days later. Fuk that. No sir not for me or anyone I know. I support people vaccinating and I support those like me who won’t.
Wow again.

Asymptomatic spread mean anything to you, or are the tests too hard work for you as well ?

You will be waiting a (probably quite short) lifetime waiting for you to become completely immune. You would also be the only person in the world to manage it :cwl:

The rest of the post leaves me speechless.

Wait…
on the one hand you’re saying that the vaccines don’t prevent infection, but also claiming that the vaccines “wear off” (which is true).
Do you not see what you’ve done there?
If they don’t work, how exactly do they “wear off”?

I‘ll quote a passage from the link at the bottom.
Please note, they’re specifically referring to the reduced risk of INFECTION.
In fairness, this article comes from September of this year and probably doesn’t account for Omicron data.

“According to the UK's Office for National Statistics, the AstraZeneca vaccine is 67 per cent effective against infection with Delta, while the Pfizer jab is 80 per cent effective.

Other preliminary research suggests there isn't much difference between the two, and that they both reduce the risk of infection by 80 per cent.

Estimates for vaccine effectiveness against infection vary considerably from country to country, and depend on the type of vaccine, the prevailing COVID-19 variant, and the time elapsed since the second vaccine.

Estimates vary from around 55 to 80 per cent, with most hovering around the 60-70 per cent mark.”

Now, onto the claim re: China.
You honestly think they deliberately created a virus that only kills about 0.5% of the population? Seems like a really poor quality biological weapon to me. You‘d think they’d ramp it up a bit. Never mind the fact that the virus shows all the hallmarks of a virus that evolved naturally. To the point that if a person were to create this deliberately, there’s much simpler ways of going about it. Much less troublesome.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/...es-do-they-change-risk-of-infection/100484432
As an individual example - three in my household all had COVID a month ago, wife and two adult children. They had not had boosters (children just missed out by age cut off for the booster) wife had it booked but caught COVID first. They were all ill, week off work or more. I was the only one in the house that tested negative throughout and had no symptoms. I was boosted 2 weeks before they caught it, so had massively high antibody levels.

Whilst not a sterilising vaccine (hence why herd immunity will never be reached) the vaccines do provide good protection against infection for several months. If you time this with the period of highest risk (winter) as is the case with flu vaccines then you maximise the benefit of the booster. It will be flu vaccine Mk2 for the future.

China virus claims and nuke China - some of the reasons I have blocked him now. I have no wish to interact with such an individual.

that’s typical of Gregory. Always twisting what you post to discredit your view. He especially doent like the p word......Which I know you didnt say it in the context that he descibes......but in his view it shows his true Identity. Ask me how I know......

what you said in your post is spot on.
He is most certainly a Know-It-All. And you can't debate with a Know-It-All. Better to wrestle with a pig. But don't do that either, please.

BTW, what is the p word? I can think of a lot of words, even in your context, and most of them derogatory, but I'm curious of yours.

T Cells Come to the Rescue as Studies Show They Fight Omicron (msn.com)

“An unsung arm of the immune system appears to protect against severe disease with the omicron variant even when antibodies wane, helping to explain why a record wave of infections hasn’t engulfed hospitals so far.”

“T cells, the body’s weapon against virus-infected cells, were primed enough by vaccination that they defended against omicron in separate studies from Erasmus University in the Netherlands and the University of Cape Town in South Africa. “

“Unlike antibodies, T cells can target the whole of the virus’s spike protein, which remains largely similar even in the highly mutated omicron. “

“The Dutch researchers looked at 60 vaccinated health-care workers and found that while their antibody responses to omicron were lower or nonexistent compared with the beta and delta variants, T cell responses were largely unaltered, “potentially balancing the lack of neutralizing antibodies in preventing or limiting severe Covid-19.””

“They found that 70% to 80% of the T cell responses they assessed held up against omicron.”

“But immune protection has several layers. While antibodies block infection, T cells kill infected cells, preventing the virus from spreading and causing worse disease, Wendy Burgens, one of the University of Cape Town study authors, wrote on her Twitter account Virus Monologues. “They can’t prevent you from getting infected, but they can minimize the damage that comes afterwards,” she said. “

T cells are white blood cells that can remember past diseases, kill virus-infected cells and rouse antibodies to marshal defenses. People infected with another coronavirus that was responsible for the SARS outbreak in 2003, for example, were found to still have a T-cell response to the disease 17 years later. “

Hello my comments; I pulled a few quotes from the article and made bold some parts. The early circulating antibodies do wane after a time but the immune reaction of the body has other layers which remain ready to fight a subsequent infection after they wane.

I will repost as an edit an article which explains this

EDIT:
What waning COVID-19 antibodies really mean for your immune response (msn.com)

“Once you've been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, your antibody counts will wane in the months after completing your series. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. "There's this intense competition in the immune response so only the best antibodies, and the cells that produce those best antibodies, survive," Deepta Bhattacharya, an immunology professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, told KCBS Radio's Holly Quan and Matt Bigler during Wednesday's "Ask An Expert" segment.”

“Bhattacharya said the antibodies the body produces early on in the immune response are a lot like a stamp that's yet to be licked. Just as such a stamp would struggle to stick to an envelope, those antibodies don't stick well to virus cells.”

“But antibody-producing cells then start to mutate – "more or less at random," Bhattacharya explained – and those cells diversify.”

“"(There's) this bloodthirsty competition between all of these cells to see which of these mutations actually helped and made those antibodies stick more tightly to the virus," Bhattacharya continued. "It's only those cells that are allowed to survive, and then they can stick around for a long time, continuing to protect you, spitting out those antibodies."”

Bhattacharya told the Atlantic last month the early antibodies are “really crappy” at their jobs, even though there are more of them. But after the cells are done competing and helpful mutation has stuck, Bhattacharya noted "you're left with some really high-quality memory B cells" that are able to effectively fight the virus.”

“"It's only those cells that are allowed to survive, and then they can stick around for a long time, continuing to protect you, spitting out those antibodies," he said.”

Hello my comments; This article explains what I have been writing. I have mentioned this before. I also have posted other links with this same information on here in the past. The shots generate a lot of the early antibodies which are like the “unlicked stamps” in this articles analogy. The sort of antibodies that are “really crappy”. We get these early crappy antibodies from both an infection and from the shots. The better quality antibodies develop over time and the early crappy antibodies are replaced.

Don't do it!

I spent years in a school for mutes because as a baby I heard my mother tell a sibling if they didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Dude if you’re healthy you’re literally 99.9999% going to survive. Don’t see a point to get crap injected into me.

So many people with that naïve attitude are now dead.

Never mind the vulnerable people (such as your sick family) you will pass it on too.

Oh dear. Let the virus run free, vaccination is too dangerous, there are too many people in the world, the authorities are too powerful, it's all political. The only thing you forgot to mention was the revolution. :cwl: Your true colours shine through clearly

End of discussion - Goodbye
Great. Your finally leaving the thread!!! Best thing that could happen.

Hello; Adding you makes four I know of kicked off the "science is canceled thread". I lost the privilege to post on it this past weekend.
Thing is for me I do not know why. I did not get any sort of warning nor any message from a mod. I did not call names and was posting in the same way I had done for the 600+ pages.

I sent PM messages to two mods asking why I lost the privilege several days ago and have not received an answer yet.

One roomie tested positive for COVID, then we all got sick, then another few months later caught COVID, we all got sick, we got sick later too. But we don’t get tested so whatever. They didn’t get sick again.

Point is, we are healthy and didn’t bother us. We just wait til we are healthy then go out. If people are at risk, those should get Vsccinated. My whole point is, don’t push this on people who are able to be healthy.

If I die whatever, but I am not likely too. Already had it, wasn’t big deal. Felt like a nasty flu. Had no taste was the worst part. I swear I’ve had it twice now. Lol.
Still, isn’t anything I’m even slightest bit concerned over.

don’t count on your neighbor to keep you in good health, because I wouldn’t. I only count on myself. You are responsible for your body. Protect it if you want

thats their MO.....kick you off the thread without any information as to why So they can continue to spread their interpretation and the misleading of facts. I’ve read a lot of your post and yes you are very well spoken and do not name call. They on the other hand do all the name calling and put downs......especially Gregory!

Do you have anything else to contribute to this Moderna vaccine thread other than your repetitive stance on not caring about your fellow man and that it’s everyone for themselves?
Maybe go back to the speeding thread.

that location must be only in your head.....cause if you really believe that, you have much larger issues. Open your eyes so you aren’t so gullible.
