I attached the correct wires to the positive/negative but no juice. What is the wire in the middle supposed to do?

OK β€œexpert”, why the hell are you tapping into the circuit board of this little LED instead of using the plug and wire harness that goes into the light?

I don't see any wires in this pic...
And yes, it is a very weak light.

Just buy the older trunk light that used a halogen bulb. Part number: cv6z-13776-A

First of all I didn't tap into the LED circuit board: I tapped into the positive and negative wires that were connected it to it. I thought that the LED board configuration may be what is preventing any add-on power options. It just seemed simple and logical. Had me scratching my head for answers. Nothing worked until:........................................

This saved perhaps thousands of lives because this worked. The wires now connected to the new configuration powered up a series of 3per LED housing (8 total = 24 bright enough LEDs to illuminate all of the trunk space). Thank you Agent Alex!!!

Just curious Brian_S550: North Side or suburbs?
