As a kid I loved Legos and now my 5 year old does too, I saved them since childhood to pass them on. I recently was looking for a Lego GT500 lego kit for us to build together and all I could find was the original 1967 GT500 kit Lego sells.
I then stumbled across this article. The coolest thing is the instructions only use parts from the 1967 Lego kit to build the 2020 GT500. (I used a few of my old legos a few minor details like black hood pins and no front plate)

I picked up a Lego 67 GT500 kit off eBay and downloaded the instructions from bricksgarage.com.

After working on it off and on for about a week, an hour or two a night depending on my sons focus we got it done.
