Hi there. Just placed an order for a 2021 Mach 1 with Handling Package. I live in NJ and though I do not plan on driving the car through the snow (wink), I would like to take it out on dry winter days, but am aware that summer-only tires do not behave too well below a certain temperature, though I am not sure what that temperature is. Has anyone else fitted a Mach 1 with all season tires? Thanks!

when i bought my car i flew from michigan to montana and drive it home. just my luck we got 10 inches of snow that night before i flew out. i had a set of continental extreme contact ultra high performance all seasons put on the car and i was pretty amazed at how well they did in the snow. i was very confident while driving 1600 miles home.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. Were your rim (tire) sizes the same as the Mach 1? 305/30R19 (Front), 315/30R19 (Rear)? Thanks again!

245 front and 275 rear (performance pack LV 1) i would say check tire rack and see if your sizes are available

Technically, 285 should be at the limit of the 19x11 rim (of the HP).
I have a 295 on the back of my 19x11 rims and i would not put anything smaller than that on it. I went off the "what fits range" and ordered them. After the tire was installed on the 11" rim i dont like it. Sidewall is a bit stretched. Going 305 the next time i need rubber.

Sorry dont have a better angle on hand

Yep.... I may very well need a 2nd set of rims... Will probably be cheaper and better for the factory rims, in terms of not subjecting them to the salt.

Shouldn't be hard or expensive to find a set of all seasons from a "regular" Mustang since many new owners immediately change them. I have a set of four from a 2017 GT that will be the "winter" tires for my Mach 1.

I was not able to find an all season tire for my HP car, there may be some out there, but I wasn't able to source any based on Michelin or Bridgestone which I prefer. I went with Michelin 4S

I have a PP2 with Cup tires for track. Then run Pilot Sport 4S all other times. Solid all weather tire with performance still and awesome price compared to Cups.

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. I am wondering if you can provide me with a bit more information.

Does your Mach 1 have the Handling Package w/ the 305/30R19 and 315/30R19 wheels/tires?

I am assuming that the GT rims you purchased are for 255/40R19 and 275/40R19 wheels/tires, correct?

Can I ask where you bought them? (I am assuming eBay, but am wondering if there is a trade in source, like Detroit Wheel and Tire).

What size winter tire did you buy? I am pretty sure that 255-275/40R19s won't pose any challenges, in terms of the lower profile of the Mach 1, but just want to make sure.

I am not really an car expert so much as a life-long Mustang enthusiast (my first car was a 1987 LX 5.0 5spd), so any advice you can provide would be most appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi RAV. My Mach 1 is non-HP, so the wheels are 19 x 9/9.5 with P255/P275 40ZR19 Michelin Sport 4S (summer only) tires. The black ebony GT Premium wheels are 19 x 9 front and rear with P255/40ZR Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. I bought the wheels in 2019 via FaceBook marketplace -- a salesman at a local dealer bought them new from a new Mustang owner who changed the wheels as soon as his car was delivered. I upgraded the tires after wearing the original Pirellis. I bought my tires from Tire Rack and had them installed by ASAP mobile installers. Hope this is helpful!

4S are summer tires which are rated well for rain but not when the temps go below mid-40s.
