Which transmission type is best?

  • I don't care one way or the other.

  • This argument is pointless, and I won't take part in it.

  • There is no "right" answer, it's a matter of personal preference.

  • It doesn't matter to me what someone else chooses, I'm happy with MY choice.

  • I'm very insecure and NEED to bash other people's decisions to feel good about myself.

Okay, how can you drive a manual and eat a hot dog or a pizza? You can do it with an auto:crackup:

Just sayin.
Why would you even want to split a finite amount of enjoyment between two activities that could give you full enjoyment taken one at a time?

FWIW, hotdogs are reasonably do-able when you're on a road trip with some semblance of a schedule . . . as long as you can pass on the condiments.

You will never, ever get consensus opinion on anything much less New York pizza. Joe's has been around since 1975. I've eaten there and loved it. could say the same about 20 other spots in Manhattan alone. Personally I have always preferred pizza in my home borough of Queens with Brooklyn as my second choice.
Tell me in explicit detail how that pizza is great. I need some material for the left vs right hand thread. I happen to spend my time left of your apparent situation. But whomst among us is disinterested in fine eats?

Easy ... eat with left, shift with right, signal with right. Wipe left hand with hand sanitizer and I'm good to go. I can even put on nail polish and still shift, it ain't hard to do.

You can also do White Castle sliders. Just hold the onions.

Yeah, but you need an automatic to do both your hair and your nails. I used to see it all on the New Jersey Turnpike.

My hair is naturally wavy/curly so I don't need to fix it at all. 😉 but on a serious note, I've gotten used to driving a stick so much that I can do everything that auto drivers can do and some more.

Some of us are blessed with a hedonistic capacity for infinite simultaneous enjoyment :cwl:
Before your time, but this reminds me of The Contours' cover of "Devil or angel" . . . Devil or angel, I can't make up my mind.

Blessed or cursed, I can't make up my mind . . .

Meh, I think the original has more style.

My bad. Bobbe Vee did sing it (1960?)
, but it was the Contours that really made the song.

Read post #181 :cwl:
I'm going to ask for a little slack here . . . I was only 7 or 8 in 1955, and there wasn't any reasonable way for anybody of that age back then to research any further back than what the radio DJ might happen to mention. I'm not even sure I was listening to radio before about 1958 anyway.
