The 4s are summer only and I can tell you from experience they start showing their lack of grip when the road temp drops below 50. I have a set of 2017 black wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ that will go on for the winters!

The Sport 4s don't do that at all. My 2015 did it a little, but I'm not feeling it at all on my Mach 1 with the Sport 4s.
You can't really compare the behavior of your 255mm wide 4S front tires to his 305mm wide Cup 2 front tires. His tires are 20% wider and considerably stickier.

Tramlining is tramlining, apparently more due to the combination of tire design and car suspension, regardless of the tire width. My 2015 did it with 255 mm Pirelli PZero Neros. It reduced when I put on the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ of the same size.

*different tires*

hard to argue that the cup 2’s are not great tires but I agree there are much better tires for street driving.

@Mach U look into michelin pilot sport 4s
They have the factory HP sizes, as well as a 325/30 that works well in the rear also. Go to onlinetires.com and use promo code “John 5” and they will be cheaper than tire rack or anywhere else
I’ve been very happy with these since I put them on. I couldn’t imagine daily driving with sport cups tramlining all over the place not to mention the rocks they would kick up constantly
Just put Michelin 4S on my HP. Tramlining completely disappeared

Those of you who changed over from the Sport Cup 2 to the Pilot Sport 4 S, did you stick with the 305/30-19 on the front, or did you get a narrower tire?

Stuck with 305/30. No noticeable tramlining so far in 850 miles. At least not any more than I would expect with the 3rd world status road surfaces we have here

Taking your advice on the Sport 4’s. Since I’m spoiled (Scottsdale winter and Carlsbad summer) I’m not concerned with low temperatures.

Good to know. I’ll hope for 10,000 miles or so and then take your advice. Thanks
you won't get 10,000 miles on those tires I got 5,500. I changed to Nitto 05's and added a Steeda 2 bolt track bar. No more tram linning even after added 305's to the front

I just tried the "John 5" promo code as well as "John5" and it says it's not valid. They also didn't show the Michelin's being available - double bummer.

I had the same problem when I was looking for a new set of tires. Everywhere I looked the 4S in my size were out of stock. I was lucky to find a set of super sports.

When I talked with Jim Owens at the Carlisle Ford Nationals, he said Michelin was having supply chain issues which was making it difficult to get some tires. It's now weeks later, so I suspect the supply chain issues are worse.

Give me a a few min. When I get into work I’ll call them and get it taken care of. I’ll ask about the stock status as well maybe they can help you guys out with something
