My car is FBO with a CJ manifold. I twill have cams and a mono blade very soon. I will not shift at high rpms to save its life. it currently has bmr engine mounts, steeda bushing insert, steeda shifter bracket mount. I know I could go to an mgw shifter, but with the engine and trans mounts I don't think deflection is my issue, Im feeling its my clutch. Can I get away with a single disc spec or exedy at 8k rpms? I have a set of cams sitting in the garage so the car will see some high rpm use. I just really don't want to sink 1500 into a clutch for a non boosted application.

The Mcleod RST is pretty popular and should feel very similar to stock. If you are still getting locked out after the shifter trans mount, it's most likely the clutch like you said. Still, the MGW should've been my first mod on the car. You might consider getting it anyways.

I am, just waiting for black Friday for my next round of mods. Lol black Friday is gonna land me on the couch for atleast a week she won't be happy. Yeah the car had a stock clutch when I bought it and it went out the 2nd day I had it, and they replaced under warranty, when I picked it up I found out that it was an AutoZone special so I'm sure that's my issue
