How did it sound? I've been told that setup doesn't sound very good

Roush axle back with anything other than stock headers, mid pipe, resonators will be extremely loud. If you do not mind a pretty significant increase in volume i personally do not think it sounds bad. If you add high flow cats it will be a little quieter than a off road set up. Please send me a message if you have any other questions. #teamlethal

mods are in the details of the videos. i did have some small 4" bottle resonators installed between the xpipe and axle backs so this is slightly quieter and more refined that straight headers x pipe ab combo but gives you a decent idea. before i put the resonators on it was just ridiculous.

That’s awesome. Just the Roush ab and xpipe is super loud. Did you have that combo before getting headers?

i started off xpipe and abs and was happy then went headers for power and it was stupid loud. then added resonators then cut it up again and added the magnaflow resonated x and got rid of resonators and now im where i like it. not too loud down low but opens up a lot when you are on it.

If you're into a raspy exhaust note, the setup sounds amazing. However, it's definitely one of the loudest setups that money can buy. If you've heard the Corsa Extreme + Header combo, it's damn near close to that in volume.

I had Roush ABs, x-pipe, and LTHs for a little while. I routinely had people tell me they could hear me from several streets over. One of the worst parts about the setup is the cold start. The cold start is absolutely BANANAS...

After adding resonators, the tone is just right for me. The resonators cleaned up the harshness when going up in the rev range and quieted the exhaust a tad as well.

After reading everyone’s comments I might stay with my current setup. I’m already boosted so I’m not sure it would give me the best return compared to fuel system, E85 and Flex tune. Then I’m installing a muffled xpipe. To be honest I rarely hear a louder car than my current setup. I already get the “ I could hear you a mile away” comments.

just read your set up and honestly you are prob decently loud now. if you did add headers you are gonna be legit race car loud if you arent already. as stated above the cold starts are bananas and literally just short shifting at 3K rpm you would sound like you are flooring it everywhere. then when you do floor it your ears are gonna bleed. i changed my set up for pretty much that reason. i would be babying the throttle and it still sounded like i was wot everywhere.

Yeah.. I didnt realize how loud until i hit the city last weekend with a lot of buildings to send the noise back at me.:devil: I think I’d have to get the resonators you recommended.

Just another clip for you. My old car a 14 and manual but same exhaust setup. It breaks necks and sets off car alarms also surprising quiet when cruising.
