Can anyone tell me the spacing of the dimples on the front and rear bar for the drilling of holes to mount the number plates on the 2018 please?

No but i can tell you to demand your dealers stick the plate on and not drill. ;)!

Unusual question to hear on here. I can get you the distance between the dimples on the front as I don't have a plate there but you may struggle with the rear. I'm with Manders though, stick-on FTW.

Have you ever tried getting the sticky goo off the bumper after removing the plate? Having said that I also prefer to stick it on.

Tar remover and Isoprobyl alcohol works a treat.

Hi Steve,
The spacing of the dimples on the front, measured centre to centre, would be a good start, preferably in mm.
Much appreciated, John

21cm exactly between the dimples on the front bumper. Will get a pic later when another set of hands turn up.

Can we ask why
@lockwood would like to fit number plate brackets manufactured by an Australian company designed for the 2015-2017 Mustang to his forthcoming 2018 vehicle.

These brackets were hugely popular among local owners due to their excellent design/build quality and massive improvement over the stock offering.

That company has since closed down due to family illness.

Thank you Steve,
Sorry to be a pain, but would you mind re-checking that measurement and was that centre to centre, as one response I got stated 10” (25cm)
Cheers
John

I use one of these:

http://ccmustangbrackets.com/

Its brilliant and also allows the plate to be removed within about 10s.

Im surprised they are not more popular in the UK.

The other set of hands proved unsuccessful for pictures so I resorted to low tack masking tape.
Pics show a dressmaker's tape attached to front bumper and the dimples show up quite well due to the light hitting them. To allow me to attach it's showing 2cm to 23cm so total distance is 21cm on my car. As it actually appears slightly longer that 21cm due to the dressmakers tape being clearly a little inaccurate i've included a comparison with my extendable measure.
Apologies for the orientation of a couple of the pics. I sorted them on my PC however they've reverted on uploading.

Thanks Steve,
Is yours a 2018 model?
Cheers, John
Lol, just noticed you said 2018 (twice)
Ignore and accept my apologies for the timewasting... read the OP once and never looked at it again.

Mine's a 2016...
