This happened to a ‘stang up in Glasgow this week. Talk of it being done by local Neds! :paddle:

I heard it was a masked gang of Ecoboost owners.

In all seriousness gutted for the owner, hope he gets a nice shiny 18 in replacement!

According to the fire brigade it was electrical apparently. Don't think the exact cause has been verified just yet. Awful to see whatever the reason.

I wonder if this is someone who didn't have the loom recall done? I can't see the owners plate, or be arsed to go searching, but it'd be interesting to know if they were one of those cars build pre 2016 and therefor needed the loom recall, if so, this is the second one; and insurance wont be able to deem it's fords fault if the warranty is out on it.

Not sure mate. You aren't the only one wondering this. There isn't a lot of info about it at the moment as far as I know. As soon as electrical was mentioned this is the first thing that pops into your head isn't it?

Seems odd that both the front and rear have been on fire but not the centre of the vehicle.

Front right corner. So could be loom near the header. Not near the battery. However why did the entire rear end burn? Something ignited the fuel tank by the looks of it!

Owner said on Facebook that it had not been driven for two days and had been in for its recall
