I'm conscious of clogging up the forum with continued topics of new products we have added to our website

to avoid this can I just suggest those of you that are interested stick a like on our Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/pg/JWRacing.co.uk/posts/?ref=page_internal

we are regularly updating our FB page with new products for the Mustangs , interesting developments with our EB demo car and of course work we are carrying out on customer vehicles as well

we will continue to post some of the more interesting things on the forum of course but just don't want to be seen as ramming product down peoples throats

all the best

Jason :)

that's fine , I'm not going anywhere as such , its just that at this particular time we are putting a lot of work into the new premises and the website with new products so there are lots of updates

just don't want admin getting cheesed off with loads of posts that some may think pointless

ill continue to add those that I feel the whole population will be interested in , just thought many would find it easier to add a like to FB

cheers

Jason :)

I'm not on face book either :)

Why don't you just create your own thread and keep posting on it to bump it up

I thought I was the only one!
I make sure I’m wearing my tinfoil hat when the Mrs is on FB...

It can penetrate your brain, read your thoughts and turn you into a stupid person... avoid at all costs:D:paddle:

hi , our website does show VAT inclusive prices , if you are not seeing them you are not clicking all the way though to the final product page

heres a couple of examples:

if you were looking for DBA discs and went to this page you might think the price is only without VAT

https://j-w-racing.co.uk/section.php/5069/1/dba

however if you specifically click onto say DBA front discs where you often get much more detailed info on the specific item you will see both non VAT and VAT inclusive pricing

https://j-w-racing.co.uk/product.php/11477/5069/dba_front_disc_brake_set___5000_series___t3_slotted_mustang_5_0_gt_2015__

we have a catch 22 situation , we actually sell a lot of product to other businesses who want non VAT pricing but also to non EU countries who also want the non VAT price so we have to have our website display both

we hope that once people realise they can access both pricing strategies that we keep both customers happy, for sure if I made all prices inc VAT only I would lose significant amounts of international trade

cheers

Jason :)

I mean on the listings pages https://j-w-racing.co.uk/section.php/5069/1/dba for example just because when i'm browsing around and comparing stuff it saves me having to go into every product to find out the detail first.
we cant change that page , its an inherent part of the webshop design that we have no control over , that page only shows the pre VAT price , the full page listing shows both

as and when we move on from the existing webshop set up we will review the way the VAT is shown (if we can) as other webshop designs may offer alternatives but it is actually important to us that we display the non VAT price due to the volume of overseas business we do where this price becomes the one we sell at

regards

Jason :)

just country detect and change output accordingly its like 2 lines of php (since thats what you're current ecommerce site is written in)

we are able to set the tax for each country that's not the problem , the platform we are using can only add tax , so if I adjust the setting for any given country it will then display ONLY non VAT price

by setting the UK and other EU countries for 20% VAT that's how I get the VAT inc prices to display as well

no matter how easy it is I doubt the owners / designers of the platform will want to change their design just to suit us

and all ends up our website does supply both options of inc VAT and not inc VAT which ultimately suits every possibility for the whole globe , you just need to make one extra click to see it

Most other websites do not offer both pricing options and therefore create as much confusion if not more for overseas buyers who don't understand how to reach THEIR price without the VAT

cheers
