Just noticed this....

It's fairly thick plastic (more than the bumper itself) so must have been a heavy stone if a stone chip.

In any case, it'll need a repair job. Might as well take the opportunity to fit the standard US lower grille. Also, toying with the idea of glossing the grilles and fog surrounds if the bumper has to come off. I know a few people have glossed the plastic, but don't know if anyone has done it on a black car, not sure if it'll look odd. Any suggestions welcome.

It's clearly a sign from god that you need the proper lower grille ;)

I would say avoid going gloss black on yours. The contrast works well IMO. It's a cheap part and if you fit yourself a very cheap mod. Think I got my upper/lower GT style grilles from Nemesis for about ÂŁ140 all in. If you are going with the stock lower EB grille then that's only ÂŁ50 or so. both look good.

It's a sign to get a new lower lol... I have a spare set of Ecoboost grilles, however I think something heavy went through it, the plastics fairly thick, but hey-ho!

A friend on FB is doing his shadow black and having all of the plastics painted to match his body colour. As it stands at the minute i'll have the rotating set of lower plastics back from @Goosey early June (after jun 6th) when he's fitted his, I've got two others in the waiting list, one who "wants it" another who really wants it lol. Happy to put you on the list behind whoever pays first for the next set. Or squeeze you in quickly if you can do a quick turn around on the install and return of spare parts.
That being said, Gloss black with Gloss black might look less effective... Unless you're going for a stealth look, who knows!

Kristian87 He's an EB he needs BOTH lol ;)!

Surely you would have heard the impact, has it damaged anything behind the grill ?

Amazing that it managed to avoid damaging the paintwork on the chin.

Went on a couple of long motorway journeys the last few days and there was the odd windscreen 'crack' (cue huge wince and look around to see if the screen is cracked), but nothing that made me think - good lord, I'd better pull over and check the front of the car. Probably not the kind of impact location that makes a huge noise though?

Don't know if anything is damaged behind yet. Hope not!

I love it.
Most people just cry when they see some damage on their car.
Us Mustangers just see an excuse to mod!
^ Nailed it.
