Right then - i am doing a few more cosmetic upgrades including painting the calipers. I do have a purple theme going on so thats the colour (no comments on the colour - they are banned):D !!

I have been chatting to the painter and he recommends painting only the front ones as they are big, look good and stand out. However there is the suggestion NOT to do the rear ones and leave them discreet, primarily as they are small, look rather crap and are made out of some pig iron or other.

Whats the thoughts people? Would it look odd with only the front ones done, or would it look even odder if we painted the small ones at the back and drew attention to them, given they are not hugely impressive !! I am right on the fence on this one

The closest I can find as an image is below...I know you are all people of impeccable taste (especially those with Magnetic) so thoughts welcome

I like balance, so I painted front and rear. They look just fine.

I think these are the closest I can get to seeing how they might look on the rears.

I painted both of mine, yeah they're small but you'll look like a tw*t driving around with one set painted and the other not. My rears are gloss black with a red pony badge on them. Do them both, trust me you'll look stupid if you only do the fronts.

Think the reason they don't want to do the rears as they're a bit tricky to paint (Lots of masking to be done)

Both of mine are painted, and when I see cars that only have the front painted, I feel like the person was just lazy. Paint both.

THere seems to be a groundswell of opinion that I am swayed by. Where did you get the pony badge. I have seen some that say Mustang in text but not small Pony - well not in the UK. I have seen the sets on Ebay US?

A car looks like a pile of crap when its just a pile of scrap metal, yet we change that crap looking pile into a very nice ride.

Its all in the details. Don't be lazy, paint them both if you are going to do it.

Exactly how noticeable are your gloss black rear calipers hidden away in the dark behind gloss black wheels...? :headbonk:
