I was wondering how much did ya'll pay for the MY2017 when it first launched? Did the dealership give any incentives or was it sold right at MSRP?

The 2017 was pretty much the same as the 2015/2016 cars with the difference being software and a few other small changes.

The 2018 is a much more dramatic change..(drivetrain, etc)...you can't judge 2018 by what happened for the 2017's.

I don't think you can use the '17's to predict any '18 incentives. That said, I bought my 17 last July I was able to get just over 6k off Msrp.

That was a pretty good deal. I know i cant compare the two but I just wanted to see an estimate as to how much of a difference there was.

For the new model there won't be any discounts because of the demand. This was honestly my biggest worry going for 2018 and one of the primary reasons why I ended up in a 2017. Probably won't see discounts until we get more into 2018 once demand goes down some.
I doubt these will sell at MSRP. Maybe the GT350s will, but a regular GT is run of the mill car. They want to sell them and I can't imagine anyone will be holding to MSRP.

would be more relevant to look at the incentives on the 2015 when it first came out. 2017 was a 2016 with different colors. I would not expect anything more than token incentives ($500->$1000) for the first 4-6 months of production.

i talked to my dealer this past weekend and he already said i will get at least x plan on it and probably better. I will be ordering when the order banks open up, which he has know since aug 16 when i traded in my GT350 for a regular GT to get me by until it comes out so i can get the 10 speed auto in it.

also, according to paperwork i found when i ordered the 2015 when it first came out, the order guide was not out until May 20, and i ordered it around June 15 or so, and got my vin on june 26. if it keeps the same, about another month for the order guide then.

ironically the very first people on the '15s to get their car built were not the first to get them delivered, as many of the first of a changed year get held for quality control reasons. The '18 will probably not be as bad as the changes are more minor.

I ordered my '15 in mid-January and took delivery the first week of March - which I though wasn't too bad...

so true, I was a victim. ordered mine up first thing, then it got held up at the plant to check the catalytic convertors. Another GT came in and I looked at that and bought that one instead. was very different from what I ordered. the one I ordered finally showed up a month after I got the 15 that I bought! I was able to get it on Oct 28, 2014, it was December before my ordered one showed up.

From the talks during the beginning of this, I thought the 18 was expected to be an end of Q3-Q4 release.

That's also because they had theirs ordered under the guise of dealer stock orders. That's what they get for trying to beat the system.

Actually mine was not a dealer stock order. Mine was a special order. It had my name on the window sticker, so whomever bought it has my name on the sticker now! the one i did buy in its place was just a dealer stock order at the time.
