Quick question re decklids

or do i need to try and source a completely blank one?

on that note, any ideas if it would cover the holes of one with a "GT" badge on it?

Nope, buy blank. 99% sure that badge will not cover holes. This is what I did and stuck on using 3M tape, running Pony which I had sprayed Magnetic.

Sorry didn't look at your other link! Even if holes are different locations you can snap off and stick new one one. I would check diameter of logos though.

i'm fairly sure the pony in my hand is a bit smaller than the one on the decklid, and i've no way of measuring the decklid one! :shrug:

would be a whole lot easier if they didn't stop making the blank ones

Try the parts section in the USA forum, I've bought stuff from there and in most cases they are happy to ship to UK, I assume you have tried US ebay.

JW racing have the blank decklid on sale over here by the way. Us section for buy and trades is the gonads, i got my decklid on a swap from there!

unless im missing something,

The JWR site requires that you send them your Decklid and they modify it and send it back.... for £250 + postage each way. doesn't sound like a good deal at all.

Someone with a TY posted a while back with the mounting holes for the decklid panel. I can't remember who or when but possibly a search might turn it up.

Also, if memory serves [MENTION=13889]djone101[/MENTION] dismantled one...?

ok

so here we have my educated guess US GT takeoff at the top - which you can see uses the middle 3 holes and one off just below to fix to the decklid

Running Pony emblem full size - covers those 4 holes exactly so its useable after removing the GT emblem

Now - my running tribar is slightly smaller - i've overlayed it on top of the pony i have here and i can "Just" cover all 4 holes. only question that leaves is whether or not it is sitting right on the decklid side when covering those holes :headbonk:

Should be able to straighten the pony tribar, yeah it's smaller, but it'll look good when it's in ;D! That's on a US decklid, not a UK one 'cuz of the extra hole.

Yes I did. Ford Racing plain lid and Ford pony pack fender emblem.
