nice GT350 - i noticed you have black wheel lugs - which ones are you using
So, for the rear, I used the extra-long Gorilla lug nuts. On the front, I used the open lugs Paul sent with the wheels to mount the wheels, but then threaded on short Gorilla black lugs on the studs. This gives the look of the same lugs all around. Gorilla part numbers are 41147XLBC (long) and 41147BC (short).

I will probably get hacked for this but that wheel takes away from the masculinity of the R. For some reason, the CFs look much better. Glad I changed my mind now.

Works for a non-R... just not an R, IMHO.

To each their own. Funny though, throughout the day at Bowling Green, during NMRA where people tend to know their Mustangs, I overheard a lot of people pointing to the wheels and describing how they were "carbon fiber". The fact remains that I did not get them to enhance the look of the car, but since I drive mine regularly (11K miles since January), I wanted a similar-to-stock looking wheel while saving wear and tear on the factory wheels.

Correct... to each his own. That's your choice, not mine...

I'm sure I could drop a snickers bar in the shallow end of the local community pool and yell "Turd!" and there would be some believers and some naysayers.

We all are entitled to an opinion.

Funny thing is that the wheels were the first thing I noticed, but none of my buddies knew they weren't the stock ones until I told them, lol. Easy to tell the difference since they are matte black instead of gloss black and the concave is way deeper (which I really like). I'll definitely be picking up a set for my future non-R.

Wheels look great. I have a set of gloss black to put on my non-R when it comes in next week. I love the look. My buddy has an R that and has already rashed one of his carbon front wheels...$4800 to replace. His damaged wheel was on ebay for $2500. You can't touch up carbon fiber...These 6GR wheels are a great alternative for everyday drivers in my opinion.

They're not a great alternative for R's, let's be real... they weigh more than R wheels, so ride quality may be an issue, and there is no really good lug solution when using these wheels on the R. You can choose to double-lug it as garageholic has but I don't wish to back an open lug with a closed lug... I'd rather do it right and change the studs and open lug than run a double lug.

Let's be real, they are a reat alternative for a GT350, R or not, if you're looking for a stock-ish look at a reasonable price to have on the car for non-track/HPDE driving duty. Of course they are not going to be as light as the stock carbon fiber wheels and I'm unsure what "rude quality" is, so I can't speak to that.

As for the lug solution, while I too would have preferred to use a single lug solution for the front (rears are single lug), I see no drawbacks for using the open lugs torqued to spec with the black lugs covering the stud. I know some have suggested that perhaps the outer lugs could loosen and potentially "fly off" going down the road, but in 1500 miles of driving the car with this setup, I've not seen any evidence of any anything getting loose. As a precaution, at least for the next couple of thousand miles, I check them before I back out of the garage.

Fit and finish on the wheels, in my experience, is as good as any I've had on my cars though the years, including BBS, Forgeline, HRE, Boze and others, but at not nearly the cost of those other brands. Who knows, 500 miles from now I may encounter issues and change that opinion, but coming from someone who is actually running them on a R versus just speculating about it, I have no complaints.

Now, if I were looking for a wheel alternative to the stock setup for track days/HPDE events, the 6GR's would not be the way I would go but, for daily-driving duty, I'd say you're hard-pressed to find a better value than what Paul is offering. Just my opinion.:)
