Hi guys,

Well as a dealer I have driven the Mustang but not for a long time.
On Sunday I went to Fiesta in the Park car show and wow what a car!!!

I did 198 miles in the V8 Mustang and averaged 25.7 mpg on all types of driving, brilliant!

The car is just brilliant. I love the ride, the seats are comfortable, the noise of the V8 is just beautiful and addictive.

The gearbox on the manual is just lovely, its tight and precise!

I am so jealous that you guys get to drive these cars all the time and now thinking of getting one myself but I have ordered an RS instead as I love my Focus's.

So just thought would share this experience with you all

25.7mpg, you were definetely not trying. ;)

RS is a great car for sure, will be a very handy road car in all weathers and is properly sorted from the factory being an RS.

Made it up to about 27/28 on the 80 mile trip home from the dealer...never seen that since however. Anyone for Ford's quoted combined figure... ;)

These reports of 25+mpg are very heartening.

As well as for fun, my V8 will also be my commuting car - completing about 15k PA on the daily grind.

Theres no need to gas it here on the motorway, as during the rush hour its usually solid (but flowing) traffic.

25-30mpg will make a huge difference in comparison to say, 20mpg. :ford:

I couldn't say what my MPG is, my on board computer always navigate past that setting for something more interesting to look at - i fill mine up, drive and empty it, then fill it up again :D

I only reset it just to see what I could do. I drove it hard sometimes, boring sometimes and cruised on motorway. Very impressed overall. Very easy car to live with on a daily basis

the GT can easily hit 30mpg, the only catch is you need to sit on cruise control, 60mph, and drive for at least half an hour lol

This is true & the EB could go near 40 I reckon, but where is the fun in that :ford:

Exactly, no fun at all, its handy though to know if your in the middle of the NC500 and the next petrol station is 60 odd miles away sitting on the red light, sport+ doesnt help your mpg but its so much fun in the dry you cant help but pin it
