I have 1600 quid to spend on exhaust now haha. Well. I already had 800-1200 budgeted out for a full system.

I've got basically 1600 quid spare now. Well guess I can just use it to make more money!

I'm sure someone on here has done some advanced driving coarse.
Any training is better than none I guess.
Plus you could take the Mustang and get to know a bit better

Insurance as standard is 650-800ish. Insurance with wrap 1400-6kish

Here's what I don't get, and I am honestly not having a go, but you're 21 and doing well for yourself. Your insurance is only going to go up by around 800 by doing the wrap you originally wanted (I was originally under the impression that £3k quotes were all you were getting) so why not just suck it up and go for it? Its only another £70/month.
Smaller wrapped areas and an exhaust are going to impact your premium to an extent anyway.

You'd need to do an advanced driving course (or similar) to get any insurance benefit. I don't know of any trackday activity that results in a reduction - but will do wonders for your ability to avoid sticking the car through a hedge ;)

Insurance will go up 800. The 3k original quote was for a gt. The 2.3l has always been sub 1k for me.

I'm not complaining regarding the car and I know I'm blessed to be in my position. But I'm annoyed at insurance wanting huge payouts to cover it haha.

To be fair I've got a shit load of track experience. Just none with a rear wheel drive car. Or not one over 300 brake at least.

No you don't.

You won't be covered whether you tell them or not. You'd have to purchase specific trackday insurance.
