Using text as a growing medium of communication, you would think that there would be more people striving for clear and correct usage. However, all I see is a continued degradation and perversion of the language.

Other than for brevity or comedic use, I don't understand the willful destruction of the language. Typo's, errors in spelling, and archaic (often misunderstood) grammar rules aside, we should all know the difference between your and you're.
