Already have a wear spot on my driver side bolster, the one closest to the door. It's not very noticeable right now, but it is most likely going to grow. I will be contacting Katzkin tomorrow, since the have a 3 year warranty. I only have 1500 miles on the leather!!!!

Does anyone know what these extra pieces are on the right? On the only real description on the eBay account they are called PDPP and PDPD.

Yup door panel inserts, that I seem to have misplaced. I didn't use them, don't remember what I did with them.

Couple of questions for you if you don't mind.

1) Does this reuse the factory seat belt straps or does it come with them? Since I have cloth I would hate to have cloth straps with the leather.

2) How the heck do you remove the latch in the back of the seat? I looked at it, but couldn't a good look at it with the seats in the car.

I watched that install video someone posted but they had a different setup. Besides the hog clips tool is there anything else that video did not show we need to keep in mind? I will probably pull the trigger on this order this week or next. Just want to get everything I need in line before I start pulling out the seats.

Thanks in advanced!

1)reuses the factory strap and magnet.
2) you pull up from the bottom edge and it snaps out. Then you spin it around the latch, and work it over. Pretty simple once you do it once.

Hog rings and pliers is all you need as far as tools. and lots of patience! Total install for me taking my time and doing it for the first time was 8 hours.

Did anyone ever get the door panel inserts on? And if so what was the process you went through? Just installed my Katzkin Saturday on the back seats and front headrests, thinking about doing the front seats as well even though they look like a little more work. Overall though this Katzkin feels and looks great!! Makes the car look so much better over the cloth

And anyone thinking about doing this, give it a shot!! I'm 21 and have absolutely no experience with upholstery but it was honestly not hard at all, here's some pics of what I've done

I'm really tempted, but all red on a red car for me would be a bit over kill :D

Now a red line style (black seat with red faces), that I'd do. But that'd require a custom order.

Nice work. Hopefully those ripples will settle out once they've been installed for a little while.

Yea those red line ones look awesome. I had all red leather in my red S197 before I traded it, it doesn't look bad at all with the black door panels floor carpet and headliner.

Thanks I appreciate it, yea hopefully they do come out I really don't care if they don't but I hope they do lol. Can't believe these things are only going for 600 new on eBay, pretty good price I'd say.
