John,

Is the stock cap suppose to "click" on the Mishimoto Expansion Tank like it does on the stock tank? Thanks
Yes it is supposed to, mine didn't so I had to file the little tab down just a bit to get it to work...

Looks SO much better Darren! +1 on the Mishimoto, I love mine! Main reason I went Mish over Moroso is the fluid sight tube on the side. Moroso doesn't offer anything to accurately observe the coolant level.

John,

Yes, the radiator cap should click into position just like it does on the stock tank. Shoot us a PM if you are having issues!

John @ Mishimoto.. Do you have a coolant cap for the expansion tank? I have the Black one and love it BTW.
Unfortunately we do not have an overflow tank for this vehicle. Our tank is designed to function with the stock unit. If we do develop a cap of our own, we will definitely let you guys know.

We are working on them! Our goal is to have a silicone coolant hose kit launched this spring.

Thanks for the kind words!

I thought I wanted the polished Moroso tank but with no baffling, makes me a bit uneasy since Ford had this in the stock tank.

Looks like Mishimoto is the right choice for me. In polished, of course.

I had this Mishimoto tank and was in the process of installing when I discovered it would not fit with my Whipple 10 Rib kit [emoji20]

The barb on the back side of the tank is too long and would need to bend 90° towards the ground in order to provide enough room for the 10 rib pulley and belt.

I sold mine but I have been thinking about getting another one and seeing if I can get a fabricator to cut about 1.5" off the length of the barb and 90 it straight down for me.
Mishimoto is this something your guys could do for me in the factory before shipping one out to me? Doubt it but figured it was worth asking.

I cut the barb down on mine but I don't have the 10 rib pulley kit. I just ordered another mishimoto coolant tank because I wanted to switch to black.

FYI if you ever get the 10 rib the barb needs to pretty much 90° straight down as soon as it comes off the tank.

gsxr1300 got his to fit his 6 rib without cutting the barb I believe.

Yah, black is where it's at!

Hey Jaime. Sorry our tank was not applicable with the SC pulley. Making a one-off unit is not something we typically do. If we see numerous users with the need for a modified tank, we could definitely consider producing an additional tank specifically for fitment with SC systems. I will pass this information on to our research team and see if we can evaluate the potential of offering such a product.

Thanks
-John

I will, John. Very excited to get it on Monday. Another member in our Atlanta S550 club got his aluminum tank today for his GT. It looks great.
