Could this be the first audio/video captured of a DCT transmission 2019-20 GT500 Mustang?
This prototype was spied sporting a manual 6-speed shifter, but we believe it could be a placeholder so as to not draw attention to the vehicle or have to tool up a replacement shifter in order to conceal a dual clutch transmission.
Based on how fast and smooth the shifts appear to sound in this video, it seems unlikely to be the 6-speed Tremec 3160 manual transmission, although your ears may disagree. Until we receive true confirmation we’ll call this one a maybe and let our readers battle it out in a war of opinions in our forums.
One thing we can be sure of, the next GT500 will have some massive hood vent louvers and wears it proudly in these latest spy photos.
