Fix: 2015-16 Mustang Climate Controlled Seats

Some owners of the 2015-16 Mustang premium trim have experienced issues with their vehicle’s cooled front seats not cooling or in some instances even heating the seat.

Ford acknowledged the problem in a technical service bulletin that called for dealers to replace the OEM seat blower with a modified unit. While the TSB solution improved the functionality for some, frequent Mustang6G readers know that many are still plagued with climate controlled seats that do not operate properly.

As is often the case, the collective efforts of enthusiasts have resulted in a superior DIY fix for 2015-16 Mustang owners.

M6G member Darko66 has created a simple add-on attachment that improves the performance of the seat back cooler in 2015-2016 Mustangs equipped with climate controlled seats (and have not yet availed themselves of the TSB solution).

The attachment allows you to attach hoses that you can run under the seat and past the seat cushion’s blower unit to reach cool, clean air at the front of the seat.
