We showed you a sneak peek yesterday and now we have it official from Ford — the all-new 2016 Cobra Jet Mustang, freshly unveiled at the 2015 SEMA showroom floor in Las Vegas!
The 2016 Cobra Jet features a new four-link solid rear axle suspension and electric water pump application, a first for the legendary Cobra Jet program.
Capable of eight-second quarter-mile times straight from the factory, S550 fans will be happy to learn that the new Cobra Jet shares 75-percent of production engine parts with the standard S550 Mustang GT.
Ford Performance will be building only fifty 2016 Cobra Jets that will sell for a retail price of $99,990. Production is already underway at Flat Rock Assembly Plant and delivery of this turn-key race car is expected in the first quarter of 2016.
